@cookymonster70 There are alot of variables involved in that question. First of all you won't go far with a stock tranny. You'll more than likely break your ring and pinion in that tranny if you hook hard. As far as the engine, compression ratio makes a huge difference, cam size, what size carbs? I can tell you that I used to run a Naturally Aspirated 2275cc with dual 48 IDA carbs and a geared tranny and I used to run 12.80's on full street trim.
@68dragbug Well its a 1970 Bug wit a super beetle tranny. I am not sure the what cam Im running i would have to find out because a friend help me built it. I forgot which one am running, Well I know for sure that I am running dual 44 IDA cars and compression is 9.4 to 1. Well right now I'm working on a Porsche Fan convertion because its still my daily driver. It sucks gas like crazy...lol
@cookymonster70 You should still have no problems outrunning a new stock V8 Mustang or Camaro even with coming out of the hole easy. That setup should give you 13's comfortably. Just ease it off the line and you should run 13's with ease! I would suggest upgrading the tranny when you can afford it to atleast a SuperDiff setup. Then you can hammer it BUT watch wheel hop. That's a Bug tranny killer.

just for information the victor is in england and is 100% street legal, im english and live in germany and i know lots of people who have built their cars here and registered them in england because the laws there aren´t as strict its much easier to get a car through the tests in england! The car ran a 9.76ET @ 145.13MPH. We run Hoosier Quick Time Pro "Cheater" slicks because the car is street legal and does cruise the streets.
