@derfilmmacher I bend pretty much everything dry, so I get fewer problems like discolouration; but if something is really figured, - like fiddle-back maple - then I might give it a light spray with water. Paduk is great, no problems at all! You'll always get a little discolouration of some-sort when bending anything, dry or wet; but as long as it's not from a deep burn because your iron is too hot for too long, then it'll cut back fine. Any tips on hand bending Padauk? Does it need to be soaked or moistened? I've heard it turns purple when ready to bend. Thanks
