Any tips on hand bending Padauk? Does it need to be soaked or moistened? I've heard it turns purple when ready to bend. Thanks

@derfilmmacher I bend pretty much everything dry, so I get fewer problems like discolouration; but if something is really figured, - like fiddle-back maple - then I might give it a light spray with water. Paduk is great, no problems at all! You'll always get a little discolouration of some-sort when bending anything, dry or wet; but as long as it's not from a deep burn because your iron is too hot for too long, then it'll cut back fine.
