Nice track, good sound from Roland JD800 & other you're using. I've got Roland SH-201, E86, Yamaha PSR3000, PSR2700 (sampler), Roland Juno G & Micro korg XL. I play a lot of Gary Nmn, Kraftwerk & other on keyboard, sing & play old time classics for elderly groups, record bits of my own stuff but it's just a hobby though. I use Sonar recording. love to meet like minded people. From Rich
Wonderful. I love it. Great sequence. I have a JD800 too. A true classic. very thick, and powerful pads. A much sort after synth, sure to take off in price in the future. Artists like, Gary Numan, Mike oldfield, and J. M Jarre, ect have used these on stage in recent years. Says quite a lot. Thanks for sharing. LOL .
Excellent as usual :))) When i'm watching / earing your vids, i'd like to connect again all my old stuffes and connect them on my pc (i used to work on Atari in those old days). Thanks a lot and keep us dreaming... :)
how have you done the sync between the Roland TR-707 and the MFB ? I just ordered the MFB and am not quiete sure how to get it in sync with other gear.
The D50 was used on MJ's BAD album (not sure if he used the JD-800 on later ones). Most of BAD is made up from D50 stock/factory card sounds. D50 = THE best digital synth ever.
@HappyProducer that includes the patches from the official roland library set (another 4 cards) which MJ/Studio got with the synth hot off the production line. So maybe not all sounds were on a 'stock' D-50 but were in the library somewhere. Of course there could also be many custom sounds too but you can hear those stock sounds too on BAD if you listen.
I have one, but I have not learned to use it as well, it has a lot of god things,..and there is something wrong with it because suddenly the pitch changes a little and the display goes crazy...but it happens only sometimes, do you guys know where they can fix it?
The pitch problem could be caused by dusty sliders. Keep an eye on the display parameters the next time it happens. In case the parameter to be edited changed at the same time, it should be clear.
Foreigner used the D-550 on their track from 1987 called "I Don't Want To Live Without You"

I've got a ROLAND XV-5080 in my studio. What's the name of the patch you are using here in this song? I would like to try it. Thanks!
Great sound, and I really like the song.

I use 3 different JD-800 patches and all sounds are variations of presets. I don`t know the names. Sorry.

@SpacehotelMusic
All the sounds on the "Bad" album were custom D50 sounds programmed from scratch

@VisceralVoids no they weren't. I can hear many stock patches (inc digital native dance at the start of one of the tracks).

Cool tune. Sounds like a soundtrack for a B rated straight to video soundtrack.

Nice sound and tune.
JD 800 is a synth with endless possibility's. But you got to be a experienced synth dude to get the full potential out of it.
