PART 2 - As for your discussion with respect to "goals" - here too, Sartre does not seek to all align his actions or thoughts, with a predetermined goal, as these, too, are purely arbitrary and without ontological stature.
RE: PART 2- and so Sartre was not concerned with predeterminded goals for his actions... unless it had proper "ontological stature"... I'm familiar with the ontological argument but am having trouble making connection with your usage. How might you mean that?
PART 1 - I commend you on your thoughtful presentation! Now...you are making a basic mistake by equating the best possible outcome or result, with "what we want". Sartre did not mean this. Whether one result is better than another, pragmatically or otherwise,(the assessment of which is problematical under existentialism) is generally a matter of indifference for Sartre.
