There is that unbelievable soul , sentiment and sadness in Fisher's songs. This is exactly , what makes them so beautiful.....and ONLY composer can rely the soul of the song in an unrepeatable way.I remember being on a concert where Brooker tried to play Pilgrims Progress (Fihger's song) and SING it.It was a biggest disaster , even bigger, when he tried to play A Whiter shade of Pale on Hammond. Fisher is in a class of his own and always will be.
Fantastic tune! Matthew Fisher was indeed a soul behind Procol Harum. Too bad that Brooker in his lack of tact and greed , as well as self love , tried to demean Fisher's genius and the only fantastic style of playing organ as well, as the sound that no one can duplicate.I have all Fisher's albums and there are many fantastic songs on them.Thank you for posting.
It is a shame that so many people who knows or still listen to Procol Harum nowadays still ignore Mattew Fisher, the very soul of Procol Harum unique sound. Mattew has always been in the shadow of Gary Brooker, leader, main composer and lead singer but it is Mattew superb organ playing that has immortalized their sound.

I respect MF and I am a huge fan ofhim, but PH made excellent albums even when Matthew left them.
Listen to "Strong as Samson" or "Pandora's Box", for example.
Repent Walpurgis by Fisher is incredible, and this one ("Separation") fits with the sadness you feel when you leave a person. I used to listen to it in 2007, when I divorced from my wife. It was a kind of catarsis to me.
