@InTheShade001 It most likely will be laggy, but i doubt it will be too laggy. In mmo's it is okay to have a ping on 250ms or so, depending on you internet connection you could have anywhere between 200-1000. Try it out I may be wrong.
Every single MMO is based on grind, just some games hide it better than other ;) And if we speak about grind, try play Riding Force Online (RFO) by CCR inc. . . . this game shows how masochistic grind can be ;) Tbh. even WoW isn't better than other games, quests are boring (kill, collect, bring standard combo), or just grind instances which is same like in Aion, and many other games. Prolly with each update lvling in Aion will be easier, even 1.9 shows some nice changes in lvling.
@Helleyem Your right and things may have changed in Aion in the recent updates. However i remember that when i played the game required intense grinding to level as there weren't enough quests to suply the XP you needed to level up. I guess mmo's just arn't my faveorite games... ill stick to COD :D
Those new bosses are all siege bosses they mostly dont have drop,the rudra and mastarius items drop from 2-3 bosses which are hard to kill and yea if there are thousands playing in that server,lets see how are you gonna get the fkin drop. LOLs. Grind fest for the win.
Fuck the global aion. I play in 2 private servers. Why would i pay for this grindfest? This game sucks bigtime. It only made me play for 2 months,when i became 50 and collected full pve set from dark poeta i simply quit.The game is super boring,its either you ll go grinding or you will AFK because poeta is just boring,other instances have shitty drop for example adma stronghold which is hard as hell and drops bullshit items. I really wish Aion hadn't turned into such a huge grind fest. I really did enjoy all the other aspects. Their crafting system was much better then WoW, and more enjoyable then FFXIV.
@Ruohttas The combat was pretty fluid too (when there were no server hiccups). I've considered going back for a good while now, but I have no reason to believe NCsoft would work to improve their game. I really hope they do though. The art style was very cool and unique.

I loved being a huntard in WoW but the "hunter" class in Aion takes so much skill to play that I can't do my usual face-slam-keyboard play style. I had high hopes for Aion and did play it till L50. I left because there really wasnt any content worth going thru even I kept telling myself they wont leave it like this it'll be fixed in notime. Alot of the comments that bash the game are valid because lets face it, it is a grinder game. I dont really know what you meant that it takes skill to play, pvp might take some more but leveling up takes forever and its boring as hell. Really a shame as I enjoyed the style of it.

When I go to the website to check the game, it shows Assault on Balaurea which is the expansion but not The Tower of Eternity ... Does that mean its the game with the expansion already with it? Or do I have to buy the CD of Tower of Eternity at a store?
@XHavenFoxxX They changed the name from tower of eternity to assault on Balaurea. the expansion is a free one. it was just a patch and will be in any new copy u by of the game.

@Personally ur obviously a noob in the world of MMORPGS, ive played lots of mmo's and they are FAR FAR worse grinding to do in them. After playing most of the major mmorpgs, Aion- im lvl 46 and so far havent grinded not once. Dont make gay comments when ur wrong.
@nezomega Your right there are games out there that require more grind, but Aion also requires intense grinding... There arnt enough quests to supply the XP needed for leveling so in the end you have to grind mobs.... Don't tell me that isn't true cause i experienced it my self and so did everyone else.

@nezomega Well I played to level 25 and most of the times there werent enough quests for leveling, so after you did a few quests you would have to go and kill mobs to level. Apart from that levelling generally takes too long and gets boring in the long run. I remember the first hour of its release when you would literately have to be in queue for hours to get in, after just too weeks most servers were empty and the majority of people who played Aion left. It just shows how tiresome that game got
ok. Here is the Deal with the update. It is a free update. And yes, you have to be lvl 50 to enter the new zone. However, there are several changes that have helped to lighten the grind, including two solo instances that have pretty fun skins and items for the lower levels. One is for level 18-22. The other is level 37-42 (I think...cant remember exactly). I played it on the PTS, it is still a challenge but not as intimidating.

All the DLC's and expantions are free, you do pay 14.99 a month for it too.. But belive me its worth it..... iv been playing it for 3 months now and never regreted it :)
