A tip for people who aren't digging the category organization...you can organize your closet by color. I do mine this way and it makes it easier for me because depending on my mood, I'll go for something bright or dark. I just put my pants, skirts, dresses,etc in color organization and it works really well for me.

Great tips! One suggestion is to get rid of all the plastic hangers and purchase wooden hangers and skirt/pants hangers. It makes your closet look more stream line, gives additional space and keeps your pants/jeans from sliding on the hangers.

who uses trash bags? Not judging her, but its a little better to use the shipping boxes or storage bins, rather than 'trash bags' ... Just saying, but nice tips though (:

Matching hangers, slack hangers, and shelving on top would have made this better. Jeans look better folded the retail style or rolled. Most people have way more clothes than that! Also, it does not look organized by color to me.

you can just fold the pants because they take more space and look weird when they are on one side...by folding pants you will space more space in your closet

It sounds like you need to have a garage sale soon. The only way to maximize your space, it to let some items go. Now that is summer, it's time for you to do some spring cleaning. I recommend that you go through your closet, and take out items you don't wear. Give them to a friend or drop them off at Goodwill. Then you can organize what's left in extra storage containers.

I've tried organizing my closet by items, such as (jacket, dresses, pants, skirts, etc...), this method doesn't work for me so instead I organize by color and then by item within the color.

So, I start with a Red section (jackets, sweaters, long sleeve shirts, short sleeve, dresses, skirts, pants), Pink, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and so forth. This way I never have a problem finding anything AND having my clothes seperated by color allows me to mix match and coordinate outfits better.

I just watched the video to see myself. lol I am wearing 508A by Wet-n- Wild and I put a lipgloss on top of it. I am also wearing eyelashes so I don't have on any eyeliner or mascara. I purchased the lipstick at Walgreen for .99 cent, and I purchased my eyelashes at the 99 cent store, for you guessed it, .99 cent.

It also helps to try things on. Sometimes we hang them out and forget that we have them and then once a year we clean our closets. It deff helps to try things on. If you don't <3 the fit, than toss it. :) Thanks! I subscribed.

Great information. One additional tip: use wood hangers to help keep the shape and extend the life of your clothes. Wood hangers, also, give a cohesive (and boutique like) look to your closet.
