If the religeon or culture was not being respected then fine but as far as I see it there is little reason for a new state. well judging by history Somalia has had there problems way before the Ethiopians invaded. the Ethiopians invading just made matters worse in respect to Somali peoples best interest. but the real factor are foreign country's interest in exploiting Somalia and and using it as a dump site for wast. its been happening for years well before the Ethiopians were in the picture. Somali people need to stop killing each other like they have been doing for years.

Somalia once was the stable peaceful country it was the best country in Africa strategy location, beautiful people and land. In 1991 the government collapsed the country went chaos; people fight tribal war; the whole country destroyed by the rival warlord. International community ignored Somali people then al qaida took the opportunity to make Somalia base. I hope Somalia will come back as used to be InshaALLAH; Somali people they need peace they are tired of war ALLAH help is coming.

Stanner. That's easy take the weapons off the ships the motors anything of value and essentially scrap the vessels. Some of them were sold to other African navies at rock bottom prices by warlords. Somalia once had a small decent coastal navy that was capable of keeping the peace.
