try being a lil more confident next time. It was a great video dude.. The very fact that you have the wherewithal to know that a kit is a good idea makes you alright with me ...
hey you probly all ready know this but i just wanna tell you the water talblet that purifies the water is not as good as boiling the water just saying
Hey Great Video. Where Did You Get The Hydrogen Peroxide Tubes From?
Also another great thing to put in the other tube is household bleach without added chemicals and scents. Its great for a variety of uses from Water Purification, To Clean Up After Dead Bodies, and Even To Keep Sanitary. 1000's of uses.
Just a thought... The little Styrofoam rings that come in CD/DVD spools are excellent to keep in your first aid kit. If you happen to get a blister on your foot it isolates the area great to keep it from rubbing... just center the hole over the blister and put a band-aid or some tape over it.
If that crank-radio works, you may want to keep it AWAY from strong magnets. I received one for Christmas a few years ago, packed with one of those "As-Seen-On-TV" shake-to-charge flashlights. Could be why mine did not work. Best regards.
No toilet paper? leafs? gonna be messy. bark? ouch, better have some tweezers to remove them slivers & a mirror would be handy too. moss? sounds like your best bet what happens if none is around. me, i'm carrying tp in my bob.
Nice video. Should add or print maps out. Incase your gps gets damage or battery goes dead. Also, write down miles on map to other town from your location. Incase you need get out of town. If you have friends or family. Write how many miles from there place to your place. Look at bridges to seek alternatr route. Hope that helps.
@TheGoggles1 Gerber Gator Machete, that has a saw on the back and very well made... also you need some emergency food, I saw a couple bars but see Datrex 3 day supply, the size of a roll of toilet paper
My kit is similar But I make them for 2 vehicles, camper, and Atv. You never know when you're going to need it here in Earth quake country Calif. I would add an water purification filter like the katadyn hiker or the pocket. Then add the tablets as a backup because water tables take average 30 mins to work. You can find pretty good deals on the katadyn hiker on Craigslist. Now the katadyn hiker and the hiker pro are one in the same. They just have different filtering elements.Goodluck!
Nice kit but to much of the same stuff how many multi tools do you need. Cut the weight most multi tools have a saw.screw drive on the key ring. You have a mini multi too and a full size tool. Try not to have the same items multiple times.
As a law enforcement professional, I advise you to carry a backpack or one of those European man purses. They would be physically more comfortable and allow you to have your hands free for other things. Patrol bags, like the one in your video, are designed to be taken from an officer’s personal vehicle and put into their patrol car to carry extra gear that they might need, during their shift. It is not designed to be lugged around town by hand. My “get home bag” is a civilian backpack.
Thing is about food. Most BOB's people show contain very little to no food at all..i mean how long will a few bars last me..for me about a day max..but its meant to be for three days..i say jam some MTN house in there..thats what i will do...
Im out to REI ASAP..need to get my Bill i mean BOB in order...Billy BOB. < nickname for my BOB..lol
Hydrogen peroxide will lose it effectiveness if its exposed to light to long thats why it in the brown bottle just lot id let you know i really enjoyed the video thanks for sharing!!
Good job with the kit. Everyone already told you about the peroxide so I won't babble on, but I am a knife guy and I think you meant to say a "benchmade" griptillian. I carry the 551s benchmade griptillian as my edc knife.
@ThePeterchris Thanks for the comments. Yep, I have taken the peroxide out and made a few other tweaks based off of comments. Its definitely a work in progress but feel good knowing if something happens, I have some essentials.
get rid of the bottles of alcohol and peroxide. they are space-robbers and while others are correct in saying the peroxide will degrade in a clear bottle, you don't even need it for emergencies. i've been a medic (military and civilian) for 22 years and i've NEVER used peroxide in an emergency. use alcohol preps or betadine swabs for wound cleansing. your hand sanitizer will suffice as an alternative fuel for firestarting.
hey a quik tip... you know how the praroxide comes in the brown bottle... well the reason for that is that it loses it effective ness when exposed to light for extended time... i guess you could rap in it in duct tape or electrical tape or even in just a black bag...... great video i really did enjoy you did a great job im deffently subbscribing!! take it easy.... lane
Hey man, great bag...well thought out gear. I do have one suggestion, please get rid of that snake bite kit. It has been proven that the type of kit you have can, and has made snake bites worse. I do recommend the Sawyer: Extractor bite & Sting kit. I take snake bites very seriously as I have survived a rattler bite here in Central Texas. I was lucky to have my Brother-in-Law with me and he had the Sawyer kit. It literally saved my life as far as I'm concerned. Awesome BOB otherwise.
@d0wnto3arthshuffl3r it is basically a bag you keep with items in it to help if something should happen. (i.e. natural disaster, car breaks down, etc)
hydrogen peroxide is too unstable to be kept in a clear bottle, thats why it comes in a brown bottle. the light causes it to decompose... yeah.... so you should probably fix that. keep up the good vids. hope this helps.

you need to wrap the peroxide tube in duct tape because light breaks down the H2O2 and renders it useless
