  • everything is still gone and my screen is still black...the only thing i have left is microsoft office word 2007.....everything else is gone...

    Just change your wallpaper to something else and you can make shortcuts to the applications you want on your desktop.The virus is apparently gone..

    thank you but i still have a problem, its just that i cant find my programs...like microsoft powerpoint, or windows movie maker and i cant find my pictures either.

    and to find the programs to to start>all programs

    i did that......i have windows vista ....and i did almost everything......its all gone.........i cant even change my background to a picture which really gets me down......i also cant download certain things.....but oh well....i dont think there is that can be done.....but thank you.....since the virus is gone i guess i shud be relieved.....

  • I have it on my computer right now, im going to try it.

    Its a pretty smart malware that it makes people crazy when they see the documents are 'gone'. Its (seeing from this) easy to delete, and the recovery of documents is also easy.

    I've heard of a malware/virus like this which made a back-up from the day you got the virus, then if you rebooted the pc it automatically opened the back-up and you did nothing, you still had the virus.

    try restarting the pc,rerun a quick scan with mbam

    Then reboot and download malwarebytes from a computer with internet access,put it on a cd/dvd and ionsert it in the infected one

  • i already had malware before the stupid windows vista recovery virus thingy got on my computer at my job!!!! and even after the 1 hour n 20 minute scan it found 3 infected items but none of them was the windows vista recovery, ineed help i need that thing off my computer,please help me

  • @Serj960HD ur a genius it worked!!!! but i'm finding that my internet explorer and mozilla doesn't work like before, sometimes it won't let me go into a website, it takes me to another one that has nothing 2 do with wat i searched or, it just won't let me go in, what's up with that? n i tried downloading google chrome 2 see if it would do the same n sometimes it does. idk wats wrong. thanx alot 4 ur help tho, my boss would have killed me if i messed up the computer permanently :)

  • It won't even let me install malware bytes, says PROGRAM_ERROR_MISSING_FILE (2,0, mbamcore.dll) and comes up with another errors when the install looks like its finished saying access is denied

    Restart computer,re-download and re-install

  • @Serj960HD Tried that several times, even installed another program that detects and deletes malware and it says it removed it but when i restart the computer its still there.

  • i did as you said but as malwarebyte was loaded the computer said access denied, what should I do .

    I did have maiwarebytes before this programe affected the comp. please help.

  • @Serj960HD Thanks I installed malwarebyte on temp folder and have the computer working but lot of things missing ,I will set the computer to the factory settings and then update the programmes. Thanks again.
