@vova47 O.K. the Part 3 of this video confirmed my guess (I am not a drummer) that cymbal indeed matures and mellows with playing time and age. Anyway Kenny sounds great on all of them.
I like the old one more but that's just because the new one doesn't sound like it's been broken in yet. I'm sure after a year or so of handling it it would sound very very nice. My 22" K Constantinople Medium Thin sounds better and better every day. I like this.
@BleepYouTwo I don't see or hear the resemblance but he could probably kick your ass like Mike Tyson....I was at the Vanguard one night watching him with Johnny Griffin and my friend and I went up ti him afterward and Kenny talked to us for a very long time...What a great guy and musician and historian...I never forget it...He could of went home but instead he gave us a lot of his time...I hope I run into him again...One of the greats..
@BleepYouTwo Um.....well, they're both black, so they must resemble each other, right? Moron. This man could drum you into an early grave. And he neither looks nor sounds like Tyson.
@BleepYouTwo I guess English isn't your first language. Drum is very much a verb, as in he drummed his fingers on the table as he contemplated Mike Tyson/she drummed up some support to keep stupid people off youtube/your ignorance has drummed me into a state of weary disgust.
@drumrnva And you still can't use it in a present tense, even when trying to make an example. Good job, you're a regular etymologist. The context in which you used it the first time, was very much the wrong verb to use. And often used by unskilled, cocky drummers too. Just seeing you say it, lets me know that you're probably not very good.
@BleepYouTwo No, I'm not very good. And I'm certainly not an etymologist, but it doesn't take an expert to know that that word is a verb. Go to dictionarydotcom and look at the word used a verb in the present tense with or without an object. Or go jump off a cliff. Or both. And Washington looks nothing like Mike Tyson.
Beware Zildjian people... Sabian is innovating further...

In the world of music, Kenny Washington is most certainly a force to be reckoned with. My ears don't lie.

too many angry/jealous musicians here... K Wash is the man!

If Zildjian were smart they would start altering the underlying allow, rather than just changing the hammering, lathing, finish.

@TOTALITARIO999 I absolutely agree. The old one just sounds so much like Mel !
The new one is nice though and maybe with time it will sound more like the old one.
I am assuming the sound of cymbal changes and matures the more one plays it but don't know it for a fact...

It's amazing. I don't really like rivets, but this is a truly nice cymbal. Zildjian scores again.

@drumrnva Haha alright bud. Go snort some more Ritalin and come back, when you've learned not to use the word "drum" as a verb.
