I hope you are going right into town and placing them on display? On a table perhaps? With the names of all the different woods displayed on each one too? Do they allow you to do that in town; sell like that? Bit of Hawaiian music playing ....softly....in the background? Ya gotta do it right. When they're grouped together like that they look very impressive. A table or a stand would certainly help. Good luck tomorrow!
@goldkhw Ha ha, I set up where ever I feel like, lol. Most everyone on this island knows who I am so it's no problem. My Freaky Tikis were in the local paper on Wednesday so that's good enough advertising, not to mention free advertising, lol. I had two people come up to me today wanting to buy Tikis. I set up in a high exposure area in Ganges where tourists walk right by me. I'll let you know how it goes.
@bj616 Yeah, but last time you seemed to be parked at the side of the highway. It looked like you were out in the wilderness. Like you weren't even in town. What do I know? Just go for it. So now you're in the paper too? Ya can't miss. It's amazing the stuff you've been churning out.
@goldkhw You have to remember our town is very tiny. I can walk from one end to the other in 5 minutes or so, lol. The photographer for our paper came up to me last week and asked if he could come and take pics. It's not the first time I've been in the paper, lol. I would guesstimate I have been in the local rag well over 200 times over the years. I did write the weekly garden column , plus many times I have been in the paper or magazines for my crazy garden,
@bj616 Good God. So no one would ever need a mugshot of you because you're everywhere. And it's that tiny, the town? I can't imagine. What's the population? How many kids are in the school? Is there a school? What about High School? Christmas would be pretty. It's always better in a small town at Christmas. Well, I'm learning something new again. It's all very interesting. There's a garden show that I watch called "Get Up And Grow." I wonder where THAT is filmed? I'll find out.
@goldkhw I would never be able to get away with anything here without someone knowing about it so I always have to be a good boy, lol. Our island is the largest of the Southern Gulf Islands. We have the only High School and it's huge! We have one Middle School and 5 Elementary schools. The outer island senior students come in by school boats each morning. That garden show is from Back east I think.
i want one!
