i did about 2 yrs of just messing around in 3ds at my highschool. teacher wasnt to firmiliar with it so it was all self taught. now its mostly when i get bored i will open max for a bit and play around. i will be upgrading to a new computer that can handle alot more. so i will be sending many of the cars into detailed animations soon
Maya is nice for highend stuff, u don't know what ur talking bout, ever seen a movie with hyperreal visual effects???? And then watched the making-of? I bet u haven't, cause they often film the screen, and sometimes they even mention the names of the software they are using. 3ds Max is never used in any big budget vfx film past the year of 2000. The only reason ppl use it is cause they don't know better, like you. And check these out:
I suck at cars but whatever, I could prolly make one if I rly tried, quit using max, maya is much more powerful, u can create much cooler stuff with it, and Zbrush or some other sculpting program, that's all u'll ever need :)
great cars you will be professional one day.i am 16 and i learn 3ds max at home and i ve been doing this car, but only outside part of the car and i am preety good in it,it is almost like yours
Materials and Lighting is alot better. The models are even sicker! well done on those. Now just look at professional car renders/photoshoots and try to see what makes them appealing. how the studio is set up, try to replicate it.
Dude..you are AMAZING!!!how long did it take you to learn how to do this stuff??I'm trying to learn how to do this but..i can barely make a box look real!!lol
very nice

Everything about this reel is better than your last one. Except for one thing, your first went way better with the music. Just a small crit.
Keep going man you have a great future.
