This is a very good little video... Of course training is necessary--it is the essential function of skill development. Athletes, military etc. The challenge, as articulated here, is to verify its relationship to practice.

The whole purpose of corporate training it to create jobs for the training department (and their contractor friends to write and give courses).

The leadership training programs do not do well until they put that theory to work and do actual training, real training, that makes the team a better one. It is probable that the leadership training is more of a check mark issue now where the program gets money while the group goes back to what they did previously. classes are not training, training is training.
