160km/h is normal for a vehicles nowadays at least the OBD 1 and 2 compliant vehicles .. its a saftey device built in to the programming in the main computer but there is exceptions which is sports cars which if i recall limit out at 220 km/h

same for some of the bmw's they are restricted to 155mph, any faster in them rangers then you need to check your tyres, they are rated for 109mph speeds.

you can get different speed rated tire for the ranger so tire recking doesnt happen.

In the end every vehicle has a restriction nowadays to some extent

i have had the 4.0l and the 3.0l in a ranger, the 4.0 is the way to go no doubt, for a v6 truck they run pretty well, the 3.0 is the worst hp motor ive ever had, hope this helps

well most rangers after 2000 has the rev limiter in "park" that bounces at 3000 and they have limited slip finders that won't let you go more than 92 mph like my brothers truck

no you stupid triton 3.2L goes only 150 kph. it has a hardtime going 190 ,ranger wildtrak 3.0 TDCI goes faster than triton in 185 kph.

triton is fast but not a sprinter as the ranger..when it comes to their class nothing beats the RANGER!! triton are sluggish but not as slow as the hilux and navarra.. hehehheh...anyway, i love ranger and triton!!!

that depends on the driver, triton is not sluggish, may be the A/T. nothing as sluggish as ISUZU. triton 2.5 hits 190kph. the 3.2 goes 200kph or more.

i got the 3.0 XLT auto and it can do more 180Km/h( the spedo stop after passing 180)..buy the indonesian edition, we dont have the speed limiter :)..to bad we dont have road like malaysian...but the 3.0 is excelent sprinter! it put BMW to a shock to see a pick up truck in their tails..the best ford truck ever in the mud and highway!!

that car is a tdci 2,5 right ? it could go much faster, i was just outside and got 160. ive turned 180 without problem. ive got a chip though but without that i turned 180 after awhile :)

yup that's TDCi 2500cc, I couldn't go any further when hit 160km/h...it's fuel cut automatically...
