@mathrod20 Do re-read my comment, I never said they have no talent. What I did say was that I dislike that singing style. It's over-used, and sounds too general and boring to me. I like unique, quiet voices instead, like Vienna Teng, Janet Devlin, Patricia Kaas, Maria Mena etc. So what you are in fact saying, when defending your own likes, is that others are not allowed to have theirs. Sounds quite hypocritical to me.

And I am female. Not a dude. I guess that's slang but anyway...

But i agree that voices like Janet's are quite amazing.

It's weird, because she sings with true emotions, we can sense it, which is actually normal to expect from a singer, and yet it's still unusual and unique. There should be more like her. It's a pity she didn't make the finale. But from my point of view, a show like the X Factor is way too mainstream for such a candidate, i feel like they couldn't properly appreciate her talent
