oh my gosh!!! he is so cute!!! im so happy that he is doing better. i saw your premie vid and was wondering how he was doing. thats awsome. cant wait to see more.
So, i was just wondering, if you had a premature baby born, say, 2 months before it should be, would the baby's development always be two months behind other babies'? I was just wonderin because i have a baby cousin he's 11 months old and he can walk all by himself already. But, i dont know they say all babies develop diffrently?
Ive been told there are two types of development delay that prem babies can experience, first as you point out the 2 mths that they were premature (but walking 920mth is all normal). The second occur due to complications of prematurity, ie brain bleeds, hearing or sight impairment, breathing issues etc, Babies dealing with these additional challenges may be slower to develop via normally recognized milestones as their energy is diverted from growing. Prems usally considered equal by ~3yrs.
My daughter was almost 7 wks early ,she is 10 now and has never had any delays in anything. she actually walked at 9 1/2 months old and my 39 wk full term baby didn't walk till she was 13 months old so I personally think it all depends on the baby and what that babies experience is coming into the world .. all babies develop different!!! Take Care just a little about my story with a preemie
Wow... That's very encouraging to see! We have a 19 day old baby girl born at 26 weeks, 2lbs... She is doing well so far! Look forward to celebrating birthdays like you have.
=D cuteee!! I was 3 months premature at 2 pounds. Im almost 18 (in april) and i've yet to have any major issues. Keep him high on determitation and he will do some amazing things!! =) =)
yes we sure are fortunate...i look at like this...i got to have my baby for two extra months!! congrats again on a beautiful boy! seeing him and turning one is getting me excited about my son turning one!
glad he's doing well =)
