You truly have to not care about this country to support Palin.
This is just disgusting and pathetic. She just repeats the same thing! The only reason she named Washington was because Beck had literally just mentioned his name prior to this part of the interview.
This is amusing. Even the people on FOX News seemed a bit dumbfounded (pardon the double pun!) at her ignorance. Even if she had gotten them wrong but in the right time period (for instance, Paul Revere), I might have understood. But this is something one doesn't even have to learn in them-thar disgustin' books. The names kind of seep into one by osmosis...
So, Sarah, do you know any of the Founding Fathers' names? Do you know ANYTHING about politics? How did you even get to be the Governor of Alaska when you can't even name the Founding Fathers? I'm not even all that well-versed in political history and I can name six of them right off the top of my head... George Washington, John Adams, Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, Sam Adams, Thomas Jefferson...
@XBlasphemyIncarnateX im seriously not trying to be a douche but abraham lincoln wasnt a founding father. just letting you kno.....and i dont think sam adams was either but i could be wrong on that one.
@Krazybones21 So I made one mistake. The point still stands that Sarah Palin is a dumb bitch that doesn't belong anywhere another political seat of power again.
I have respect for Glenn Beck in the sense that I agree with what he says until he starts to elevate himself to the likes of Jesus, Ghandi, and Martin Luther King Jr.
It is then I lose all respect for him, because all those great men exhibited something Beck lost along the way, humility. Those men let others elevate them into the status of greatness.
Both He and Palin are not the leaders of the Tea Party.
sarah, what do you want for dinner? all of um. what movie do you want to rent tonight? all of um. whats the fastest land animal? all of um. how many of your children are retards? all of um. alrighty then. you betcha ya!
I laugh so hard every time this idiot opens her mouth. Katie Couric once asked her which newspapers she read and she said ALL OF THEM. Now here is Glenn Beck a Right-Wing creep asking her who is her favorite founding father and as usual she says ALL OF THEM. And people still think she should be our Prez.
glenn beck says, "bullcrap" and laughs, and then Palin panics, says "No" and falls back on George Washington, who is the one "founding father" she can remember . I'm thinking now the finger on his lips was beck trying to shut himself up when he saw that his whiffle-ball toss into the shallow end of American history had put her in seriously over her head and she was drowning.
its only because Beck mentioned Washington earlier in the interview.
I watched the whole thing. 1 hour of Palin's and Beck's combined dribbling and babbling... I nearly had a stroke there was so much stupid floating around in my house.
Beck is watching her with his finger pressed to his closed lips. This is a micro-gesture, which is saying, "shut the f--- up beatch, you are embarassing the hell out of us." I love Palin's gestures as she describes Washington rising above the rest, and the sort of panicked 2nd grader look on her face who is asked to read her book report and she didn't read the book let alone write the report, and she tries to make it up on the fly, and it's so obvious that it's bs and she knows everyone knows it
You know, I love all of 'em...each of them made a unique contribution...they were diverse...so many colors...so many sexes...some of them liked ketchup and some of them liked mustard...vanilla or chocolate...it's hard to choose sometimes...but I'd say Washington was the consummated statesman who rose above the rest...like a mama albatross saving her babies from killer whales...we have killer whales in Alaska, I'm riding one in my next show, be sure to tune in...then I stab it and we roast it on
Sarah Palin is still the master of mush, ( Mush is how she's referred to privately by "both sides" of the media) as she assembles loosely related thoughts and terminology just fast enough to make stupid people think she's actually assembled a sentence. I would like to ask her which stripe on the flag is her favorite, but this is close enough.
How does she not know the founding fathers!!!! How fucking stupid is this bitch. Oh my god. Its pathetic. Go back to sports reporting and take care of your stay-at-home bitch of a husband
@ExtremeAvalanche its painful to watch her soemtimes lol esp when a conservative is interviewing her, i feel bad for her then because then it's really telling of her knowledge of US history and in general
Eyes? All over the place indicating she's struggling with the memory portions of her brain while trying to create an amswer as she talked via the creative centers of her brain.
Speech? Slightly stuttered and sped up, another strong indicator of making it up (bullshitting). Also zero REAL eye contact until the end when she thought she had an answer that'd save her.
The funny thing is, either she truly is to the fullest extent, or she is the biggest freaking idiot that has ever gotten air time like she has.
There are a couple similar situations that come to mind, cliff divers are either really stupid or really brave, a guy that approaches a hot girl aggressively is either really ignorant/egotistical or really bold, and that is the question on my mind. Is she really playing a game, or is she really stupid?
I'm thinking that, in Sarah's case, it's the latter. Unlike Beck or Limbaugh who know they're lying and do it anyway, I think Palin often doesn't know any better and just repeats the same idiotic talking points over and over.
@shooterca51 So people who aren't Christians aren't Americans? You don't support the first amendment, which means you don't embrace the Constitution, which means YOU are a hypocrite.
Ahh, a woman of few words! Hey Sarah, which politician would you sleep with to become president? ALL OF EM which minority group is responsible for all the problems in America today? ALL OF EM How many of the Twinkies did you really eat Sarah? ALL OF EM How many fingers do you use to do basic math? ALL OF EM How many of your book's words were not yours? ALL OF EM How many Democrats in congress would you kill if you could get away with it? ALL OF EM How many of your teeth have veneers on them?
she actually had to think for at least 10 seconds to come up with a name, and GW? wow what a brilliant woman, NOT. how about the man who said GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH ! Hey dumb bitch from Alaska, you know who I'm talking about? Check the U.S. Navy fleet and try to find the name I'm talking about, it will take you days you ignorant freak.
She said all of them but then eventually narrows it down to saying George Washington. I don't understand what is truly wrong with that personally, seeing as it took a combined effort of all of them to get our great nation to where it is today. It was not just one of them singlehandedly doing it.
Sarah what is your favorite color.....All of em........Sarah what is your favorite Supreme Court decision......All of em.......Sarah what books do you read....All of em.....Sarah what is your favorite day...all of em....Sarah how many people did you piss off in Noblesville Indiana when you refused to sign all their books and left early........All of em......Sarah what is your favorite 6000 year old dinosaur...All of em........
@lambdaofbacon - LMAO!!! That's only because he brought up Washington earlier in the conversation. And come on now, she picked Washington, not too obvious of a choice picking the only president she can probably name off the top of her head. Even Beck was calling her out on her lack of historical knowledge. She's a moron on every level, don't make up excuses for her please.
LOL,LOL,LOL!!!!! sound familiar? you may recall her giving the exact same response with the infamous (for Palin) Katie Couric interview when Sarah was asked what books/magazines she reads!!! ( she said all of them) typical response for a woman as dumb as her.... America is smarter than that and can see right through her stupidity.
She is doing what people out of grad school are taught in their respective fields... Learn how to talk your way out of being ignorant and not knowing how to answer the question. She is clearly ignorant because she tries to talk fluff all the way out by even plugging in 2nd grade Washington knowledge to pander to the audience... She's whack pale face crap.
There is no shame in this woman!Pls someone tell this bitch it would be better to shut her mouth and let us think that she is stupid than to open it and remove all the doubt.
Chrissy, let me point something out here. You asked me if I thought I was clever. That is a direct contradiction to your suggestion that "Speck" was a gaffe rather than a play on his name. Then you went on to make and actual error with the mispelling of "Sharah". All I ask is for a little consistancy. You need to try ADVANCING to to second grade.
Transation, You know little to nothing about the founding of the country or the ideals that the country was founded upon.
If you have one idea or fact in that respect, let's hear it. Start with the Constitution. You are so busy listening to the silly media, you can't think outside the box.
I notice most of the people who don't like Sarah Palin are Statists and don't even know it. And their limited knowledge surely comes from the fabulous government run school system.
Actually I went to private school and am now attending UCLA, one of the best universities in the country and the world even. I'd like to know where you go? It's clear to see that Palin is as dumb as wood. She is a disgrace to American politics. A 10 year old child knows more about international affairs than she does! And the scary thing is that that's the truth!
Who cares what school you go to. School is for learning facts, not an ideaology. UCLA is a fine school, however, unknown to your young mind is that the people who make this country work did not go to an expensive school. And if you go to work for the government, those people pay your salary. I say, kiss the guy who owns your general store every day. Sharah isn't in office, but she speaks o them.
You know, people who went to good schools DID make this country work. Yes I believe in the hardworking Americans of old (well, their slaves were hardworking). But I'm sorry, Jim Bob isn't the reason this country is great. Quite the contrary. t's the educated people who wrote our constitution and the progressives that had the balls to challenge it's inconsistencies that made this country great. I'm sick of that line about the good white men that are the only reason this country is great. BS.
@ChrissyJ10001 Unbelievable. "School is for learning facts". ::::sarcastically::::: Yeah them facts are for those un-American liberal elitists.
Learning facts can help shape your ideology you know. Wow. So do you disparage the Founding Fathers for going to ivy league schools? What is with this anti-intellectualism in America? It's fucking disgusting, scary, and crazy
@wdv1137 Ooooon you used the "r". Don't let that bitch see this. Oh wait, it's okay if it's satire. Oh wait but no, you're not a right wingers so it's not cool. What a fucking vile lying hypocritical bitch she is
she probably doesn't even know who all of the founders of America were! she's stupid beyond belief. she was stalling for time and then probably remembered, oh yes george washington! i can't even listen to her talk. just the way she constructs her sentences. always prolonging them and making them much longer than they need to be, god she is so annoying and really a disgrace to american politics. she should finally stop making media appearances & go back to alaska and stay there!
sad thing is politics is all about show and image nowadays. how anyone would vote for such an imbecile is beyond me, but welcome to the bizarre world of American politics!
I love how one of the women, I forget who was making fun of Palin for this, and then volunteered that of course her favorite *founding* father was Lincoln.. -face palm-
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Never would have thought that the neo-cohens could find someone dumber than Bush AND as greedy and self-interested as Hillarity Clinton. But there she is.
But then, who would have thought there would be a Kenyan nigger as President of the United States.
Watch some of the videos of her supporters at her book signing. When asked why they love her so much, they'll say things like, "because she stands for freedom!" and other vague things like that.
I disagree with John McCain's politics but think he's a great man and admire his military service immensely. Choosing Sarah Palin as his running mate might go down as one of the biggest screw ups of all time though. That neo-cons continue to support her baffles me.
@Eatman77 I know right!!!!! Obama embodies the American spirit and has an eloquent way of showing that unlike this jingoist and extreme nationalist masquerading as a patriot
Good person =/= good leader. I know lots of good people i wouldn't put in charge of anything, except maybe some kind of cheering squad. Palin consistently looks like she is about to drown and has no idea what she is talking about.
dato - Comrade President needed a teleprompter to speak in front of 6th graders. LOL. I would not be making fun of Sarah Palin. Teleprompter in front of 6th graders, how pathetic.
What they fought for together was a nation where anyone's ideas can be as valid as anyone elses' if they can get people behind them. We believe in small government. Does that mean we're totally right just because we think that? Probably not. In reality, the solution probably lies somewhere between central and small government.
By the way, James Madison and Alexander Hamilton co-authored the Federalist papers. They believed in a strong central government. You should really do some reading into what the Founding Fathers believed. You can't just make a blanket statement like "They were all Christian and wanted small government!"
Some of them weren't even Christian. Several were Deists. Some wanted small government, some wanted central government.
I just can't agree with Hamilton. He wanted Washington to be king and a central bank.
While I would respect a philosophy that thinks that a society must have a strong ruler at the helm, steering the way, I think a small government minimizes the damage that some of the clowns in Washington can do.
How can you call me a fence rider when I haven't even stated my position? Don't you think that's a bit presumptuous? I sure do.
No, I don't like big government. I never have and never will. It's slow, inefficient and oversteps its bounds. But I'm not ever going to go so far as to suggest that someone isn't an American because they don't share my ideas on what's right for the country. That is practically the most unAmerican thing that I can think of.
Barry should listen to the advice of Ben Franklin, when Franklin said "Remember that credit is money".
Barry is spending America silly. His understanding of the economy seems to be that business is evil, government is good. Take from business so that government may flourish. One day there won't be anyone left in business to pay for government, then it collapses totally. Credit is money that is spent that you do not have, Barry.
So everyone that doesn't stand for what you stand for aren't your countrymen?
Sounds an awful lot like fascism.
Oh wait. It is fascism.
I also want to take this opportunity to tell you that there were liberals who fought in the revolution. You're acting like this is a new argument, big government vs. state rights. It is literally as old as the Federalist Papers, which I'm betting you've never read.
And before you call me a commie, I'm a libertarian. But this divisiveness makes me sick.
Cosbine - point out one "I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony" revolutionary. They were radicals. They despised big government. Liberals love big government.
They didn't despise big government universally. However, they did despise the British. There were some among the revolutionaries who wanted an American monarchy. I think you'll find the constitution was only ratified because the Articles of Confederation weren't very popular. In reality much of the rhetoric coming from Beck's lot echoes the Articles of Confederation.
This is all however beside my point. Just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean they're not your countryman. One of the cornerstones of the very idea of our system of government is the marketplace of ideas. Diversity makes us strong. Stagnation is weakness. I can point out any number of examples of that from history.
Lastly I'd like to say that your idea of liberals as fluffy granola eating types is narrow minded and doesn't win you any points.
Jesus Christ, guys. We're all on the same team. It is the United States. I don't like the health care bill but that doesn't mean I want everyone who supports it to fuck off to Canada or something.
I'm not after points, but the truth. They did despise big government. Thomas Jefferson said "I own that I am not a friend of energetic government. It is always oppressive".
It is too bad that they teach next to nothing about our Founders in schools. Another statement Jefferson said that is very important in todays debate. He said "I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them".
They did not universally despise big government. Hamilton and James Madison co-authored the Federalist Papers which argued for a stronger central government that what existed through the Articles of Confederation.
"can't chalk this up as palin stupidity." but sure as hell can chalk it up to her irrelevance.

She said all of them but then eventually narrows it down to saying George Washington. I don't understand what is truly wrong with that personally, seeing as it took a combined effort of all of them to get our great nation to where it is today. It was not just one of them singlehandedly doing it.

You are an idiot. "Glenn Speck", can't even check yor spelling. Go back to 2nd grade. You think you're clever? Loser.
ChrissyJ10001 2 years ago

ChrissyJ10001 2 years ago
Actually I went to private school and am now attending UCLA, one of the best universities in the country and the world even. I'd like to know where you go? It's clear to see that Palin is as dumb as wood. She is a disgrace to American politics. A 10 year old child knows more about international affairs than she does! And the scary thing is that that's the truth!
stewie919 2 years ago
Who cares what school you go to. School is for learning facts, not an ideaology. UCLA is a fine school, however, unknown to your young mind is that the people who make this country work did not go to an expensive school. And if you go to work for the government, those people pay your salary. I say, kiss the guy who owns your general store every day. Sharah isn't in office, but she speaks o them.
ChrissyJ10001 2 years ago
You know, people who went to good schools DID make this country work. Yes I believe in the hardworking Americans of old (well, their slaves were hardworking). But I'm sorry, Jim Bob isn't the reason this country is great. Quite the contrary. t's the educated people who wrote our constitution and the progressives that had the balls to challenge it's inconsistencies that made this country great. I'm sick of that line about the good white men that are the only reason this country is great. BS.

That neo-cons continue to support her baffles me.

dizzymasekela 2 years ago
What they fought for together was a nation where anyone's ideas can be as valid as anyone elses' if they can get people behind them. We believe in small government. Does that mean we're totally right just because we think that? Probably not. In reality, the solution probably lies somewhere between central and small government.
cosbine 2 years ago
By the way, James Madison and Alexander Hamilton co-authored the Federalist papers. They believed in a strong central government. You should really do some reading into what the Founding Fathers believed. You can't just make a blanket statement like "They were all Christian and wanted small government!"
Some of them weren't even Christian. Several were Deists. Some wanted small government, some wanted central government.
cosbine 2 years ago 2
I just can't agree with Hamilton. He wanted Washington to be king and a central bank.
While I would respect a philosophy that thinks that a society must have a strong ruler at the helm, steering the way, I think a small government minimizes the damage that some of the clowns in Washington can do.
fluff125 2 years ago
How can you call me a fence rider when I haven't even stated my position? Don't you think that's a bit presumptuous? I sure do.
No, I don't like big government. I never have and never will. It's slow, inefficient and oversteps its bounds. But I'm not ever going to go so far as to suggest that someone isn't an American because they don't share my ideas on what's right for the country. That is practically the most unAmerican thing that I can think of.
cosbine 2 years ago
Cos - Hell, if you are 78, your gonna be dead by the time healthcare even started. So forget about it.

But this divisiveness makes me sick.
cosbine 2 years ago
Cosbine - point out one "I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony" revolutionary. They were radicals. They despised big government. Liberals love big government.
hopeurfree 2 years ago
They didn't despise big government universally. However, they did despise the British. There were some among the revolutionaries who wanted an American monarchy. I think you'll find the constitution was only ratified because the Articles of Confederation weren't very popular. In reality much of the rhetoric coming from Beck's lot echoes the Articles of Confederation.
cosbine 2 years ago
This is all however beside my point. Just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean they're not your countryman. One of the cornerstones of the very idea of our system of government is the marketplace of ideas. Diversity makes us strong. Stagnation is weakness. I can point out any number of examples of that from history.
cosbine 2 years ago
Lastly I'd like to say that your idea of liberals as fluffy granola eating types is narrow minded and doesn't win you any points.
Jesus Christ, guys. We're all on the same team. It is the United States. I don't like the health care bill but that doesn't mean I want everyone who supports it to fuck off to Canada or something.
cosbine 2 years ago
I'm not after points, but the truth. They did despise big government. Thomas Jefferson said "I own that I am not a friend of energetic government. It is always oppressive".
It is too bad that they teach next to nothing about our Founders in schools. Another statement Jefferson said that is very important in todays debate. He said "I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them".
hopeurfree 2 years ago
They did not universally despise big government. Hamilton and James Madison co-authored the Federalist Papers which argued for a stronger central government that what existed through the Articles of Confederation.
cosbine 2 years ago
