McCain REALLY needed to step up against the "3rd Bush term" allegations much earlier in the campaign. Not only that but to my amazement the McCain camp NEVER ONCE pointed out that Obama and the Dems voted with Bush over 70% of the time as well. Granted 90 is more than 70 but if they pointed these facts out around the summertime and hammered down on it they may have had a chance. McCain attacked on the wrong issues.

He and Cheney are especially liable for having been playing off our fears since 9/11; propagating terrorism in Iraq when he just needed a reason to invade and "strike oil" as they say. I'm not saying that there aren't bad people there like everywhere else, but what's changed from before?

The most telling part of this clip is at the beginning when McCain says he would balance the budget in four years. Anybody with an economic clue knows that neither McCain nor Obama could or would balance the budget in four years.

As a Democrat, props to McCain for his (one) good line last night. However it was sunk into a vast morass of crankiness that turned people polled after the debate totally off.
People won't vote for McCain because he's peevish or argumentative, you have to have more to you than that.

McCain was lying in a bad way. When Shieffer asked him "Can you still do that?", McCain answered "Yeah" real fast just to get in a zinger about Bush to Obama. It'll take most of the first four years to straighten things up.

...Also, How come every statement McCain makes it always starts out with "My Friends...". We don't know him, he doesn't know us. He needs more professionalism and needs to show he'll be more efficient as a commander and chief
