  • cheftomm, you are a BEAST!!!

  • I make a couple of modifications to this recipe. I add parmesan cheese, garlic powder and Italian seasoning to the breadcrumbs (I love Panko crumbs). In the flour I add pepper. For the sauce I sometimes cheat and use a spaghetti sauce (tomato and basil is good) and sometimes I use canned seasoned tomatoes.

  • Wow this looks great and good for a beginner like me.

  • @xNemesiSxPR I'm sure you will have no problems making this, let me know how it comes out.

  • @cheftomm well actually i did it the other day, the result was amazing, they were so crispy and cheesy, soooo good. I never tasted anything so good in my life and less made by myself LOL. Everyone in my house was happy and wanted more, since i am from Puerto Rico i made it with rice and beans instead of spaghetti's :P

  • @xNemesiSxPR I'm glad to hear that it came out so good! There are more recipes on my website when you want to try more.

  • Dear Chef, I love this video and it has taught me alot... just 1 comment... it will be better if you have some relaxing music background when you cook... or change the current music.. it sounds like a thriller / action flick... it feels abit tense.... other than that keep up the good vids :)

  • What was the sauce that was put on? can you send me the link to the video.

  • Tell me you didn't just make Chicken Parmesan without actual Parmesan cheese?

  • beautiful!

  • @rileyjsg Thank you!

  • Wow! This is such a great and easy to do video! Thank you so much! I have a question Chef: Would you flavored it with garlic and onions and if so, would you use the powder versions or blend the real deal with the eggs or something like that? Thank you again, your videos are awesome!!!

  • @rterry82y Garlic and onions would be great. Both the fresh and dry will wor. The powder is probably easier to use for this application.

  • why the flour?

  • @pbhobbybox the flour is the base coat. it helps the eggs stick better but you can skip that if you choose.

  • @davidecars shutup, hes a talented cheff, and what do you look like a kangaroos ass ?

  • Mmm I'm hungry now !

  • @mdbess I normally fry the chicken at 325 to 350 degrees F

  • Hi Chef what kind of cheese did you use in this recipe? thanks :)

  • @gigin12 I get that alot! ;)

  • @tttwas Really????

  • if i don't have that meat tender hammer thing is there other things i can use?

i was thinking the flat side of a meat cleaver

or a just an ordinary hammer

  • @BoxerMonkey You can use the sautee pan if you like. That works pretty good.

  • This is easy try cooking Indian and Tai food

  • @Gtbomb1 Everything is easy once you understand it. Check out my show on Thai cuisine. I just posted a tandori chicken and naan recipe on my site.

  • @cheftomm No i know how to cook im a cheft at a hotel in India im just saying lol

  • @Gtbomb1 How is business in India?

  • have you seen the chicken Parmesan from the north east of England?

  • @Scormful I haven't

  • @cheftomm well you should look it up.

  • @Scormful parmo !!!!!!

  • I am an Asian. I have eaten this dish in the U.S. a few times; it's really good, and I think I really enjoyed it, but to make those people understand your point, you may have to write in Italian? :P

  • @w6030 I always find it interesting the comments I get about that dish. The reality of it is it came from a very traditional dish, eggplant Parmesan. When the Italian immigrants came to the United States and tried to sell this dish they couldn't because we were more of a meat and potatoes kind of place and veal parof the special deal I worked out with them for a free bottle ($9.99 value).mesan was born. It has transformed over the years to what we are making now. I too am a fan of this dish!

  • @cheftomm

yep, that looks definitely a parmigiana-di-melanzane (eggplant parmesan) kinda preparation.

i guess anything covered in tomato sauce, mozzarella and parmesan (and baked) ends up being delicious, be it shallow fried eggplant slices, chicken breast or cardboard :)

In the south of Italy eggplant parmesan is a kids' favourite and a typical beach lunch in the summer.

  • oh, btw, if you leave out the sauce-and-cheese topping and the spaghetti-and-sauce bed, chicken parmesan is clearly an Italian recipe: cotoletta di pollo.

this is like a spaghetti al pomodoro + cotoletta di pollo + parmigiana-di-melanzane-style-topping combo. 3 italian dishes in 1. maybe not authentical, but still interesting and probably good.

  • Lol at Italian authenticity-nazis. Take it easy. No need to rage over italian-american stuff like fettucine alfredo or chicken parmesan. It's just that, italian-american recipes. If you feel to, just politely say that it's not actually served/eaten in Italy.

Sure, putting a fried chicken breast on top of spaghetti al pomodoro may sound crazy (and I'm not sure how one's supposed to eat it, maybe using the chicken chunks like meatballs), but who knows, maybe it's good.

    And yes, I'm Italian too.

  • that´s just not Italian... it is just fryed chiken( in seeds oil) . please, tell me when you come here in Italy i will let you see what italian mean.

we cook this to tourists in all inclusive villages...

  • @GoRural So you do understand that this dish is made and enjoyed by alot of people? So why do you think it is that Italian people cook this dish for the tourists? Because they make money on it! Italians do it and so do we. Who wouldn't want to give there customers what they want?

  • @GoRural

Go to hell. Lets see YOUR amazing dishes since you seem to know soooo much about them. You're life must really be shallow if all you can do is troll cooking videos.

  • THIS IS NOT ITALIAN COOKING!!! i´m italian and nobody will eat this dish...a german will do it , but not an italian.. if you wanna know how we eat chiken here in italy just sen me a message.

    i like yours others videos.

  • @GoRural Have you seen how many people love this dish? Over 35000 downloads! It's an Italian American dish and we LOVE it here in the US. Try it, maybe you will like it.

  • I'm italian and this is NOT an italian recipes. We don't mix firts and second dishes, and we don't eat fried meat with "parmesan" all around!

  • @chemicalmarty Thanks for taking time to write to me. This is a common American Italian dish that you can find in almost and Italian Restaurant in the United States. You should try it out.

  • so Where is the parmesan?

  • @EmoBlackdude92 Thanks, I'm glad I could help out!

  • I actually applauded at the end. I can't wait to try this. Thanks

  • At 2:32 "...so I had to go outside and hose it down with a garden hose and re-bread on site." That's kinda gross. Probably shouldn't tell that story. Chicken looks good though.

  • @Lazarcutter It's just a funny story that kind of explains why you want to do the proper technique. The story is out! Can't change it now.

  • @Lazarcutter Whats "gross" about that? Tap/Hose water is very safe. he did not say that he cleaned off the chicken in a random tepid puddle on the ground lol

  • how do you make the sauce to put on the chicken..... or is there anythingi can pick up at the grocery store... to put on it....

  • @kandymoonlight There is a recipe on my website cheftomm com or just use your favorite sauce.

  • I went to your website to get the recipe and it says 1/8 Cup Water. Is that a mistake? I think it's supposed to be 1/8 Cup milk for the egg mixture? because the instructions had no mention of water until the pasta part.

  • @forevergrindin You are right. It is supposed to be milk for the egg mixture. I sometimes use water too. I will fix that. Thanks for letting me know.

  • Yeah, thanks a lot dude, now my mouth won't stop watering!

  • that looks bomb great job

  • @pesach522 Thanks

  • I'm italian and I tell you that in Italy doesn't exist a recipe like this. To tell that you can find it in every restaurant in Italy is a nonsense. May be it's an american recipe supposed to be italian by people that have no idea about italian cooking.

  • @beginner57 Thanks for writing to me. If you listen to what I say in the beginning I very clearly state that this is a classic Italian American dish. Have you ever tried it? Possibly eggplant parmesan? Things like this happen alot with food. They get changed around to meet what the consumers want to eat.

  • this looks so tasty! and you make it look so easy. Thank you.

  • @krlamz03 You are welcome! Let me know how it comes. If you like you can post pictures of it on Facebook. I am under Culinary Secrets with Chef Tomm there.

  • Great video, what goes into the seasoned flour though? I'd imagine tyme/basil?

  • @khaghgoo You can put whatever you like in the flour. Thyme and basil would be great!

  • Nice! i'm gonna go make some right now! It's my favorite. But pricey around my area. Thnx!

  • @mikelang15 Let me know how it comes out. If possible take pictures of it and post them on my facebook fan page Culinary Secrets with Chef Tomm

  • @chocolatecutie2009 Sounds Fantastic! Feel free to post pictures of your food on my Facebook fan page. I have just posted my Eggnog recipe just in time for the holidays. You can also find that on my website cheftomm com Thanks for writing.

  • @cheftomm Thanks so much for this repice but i have one problem for some reason my chicken is always raw in the center is it cause i didnt pound it?

  • @manlazy602 That is a common problem, so here are a few things you can do, pound it thinner so it cooks faster, fry it longer or you can finish cooking it in the oven. One of the things you may want to try is when you take it out of the oil cut a slit in it to make sure it is cooked all the way through. Let me know how it comes out.

  • @cheftomm Thanks and are u a michlen star chef? ur really skilled

  • Looks awesome ! I'm making some now !
