i love alfas,but im not too sure about their reliability, i had selespeed 156,it broke down as piston rod gave knock after 4 years.but i still like them !!!!

Lot´s of people here don´t have the smallest idea of what they are talking about. 1st, the supra didn´t go all the way. They were just fooling around. 2nd, people who say that a modified japonese car is better than an italian, are completely wrong. You can have a 2000hp skyline, but a ferrari will allways be better, because it has pedigree, style, refinement, engineering, balance, and above all, the feel. Italian cars, rwd, fwd or awd, give you a certain feeling. Japanese cars don´t.

A 2000 HP skyline will run faster than a 156 gta...alfa's good,not much such as bmw or audi...just take a look at the audi s3.

let me explain. I didn`t say alfas dominate anything. It's all about prefferences. For instance, i'd rather take a e30 bmw m3 than a brand new audi s4.

If you only think that speed and specs are your thing, ok, have it your way. For me, there are more things in a car than it's top speed and the milliseccond difference in a gear change for a double clutch gearbox. Those things money can buy, but the feel. that is priceless.

Heres a thought, spend thousands on a stock alfa....or just buy a jap car like the supra 2jz or skyline GTR...supe it up with some new turbos, nice phat injectors, maybe even remove the boost control. Whatever you do, the stock alfa (due to price) will be smoked. And italian cars MAY be better but at the cost of another mortage. Jap cars are easily tuned, easily fast, and easily the winner.
