Sally0h - Good luck with your initiative!

Woodsummer1 - Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I hope your orders keep up. The farmers in this film are organic farmers like you.

  • We just started a coalition in KY: Farm Food Freedom KY.org to lobby in Frankfort for legislation that benefits farmers and consumers. Start one in your state! And let you members know that when the time comes to stand up, they'd better by God stand up!

  • I started a very small chemical-free (better than organic) farm this past summer, and I couldn't keep up with demand even in my first pathetic year. As soon as I started telling people what I was doing, the orders poured in. People want good, healthy, non-chemical food. But I tell ya, even a small farm is HARD. You have no idea how many factors are playing against you until you start doing it. I feel for these farmers (I wish they were organic though!) and hope they prosper.

  • Pay attention to where your produce comes from. Try to buy locally. If a Farmer's Market or CSA isn't achievable where you live, at least look where the produce comes from in your local grocery. Buy apples from Washington instead of New Zealand. Buy oranges from Florida, not Brazil. Don't buy fruit from China. Etc. Every bite matters :) Vote with your fork!

  • GMOs cause livestock infertility and deaths. Coy/Soy/Canola/Sugar Beets/Cotton STAY AWAY FROM IT!!! fight back with your wallet and support the watchdog orgs!

  • @ItOffishul only buy these organic. support cornucopia institute and places like that and local agriculture and email senators etc

  • Stay strong! My husband grew up on a farm...Started driving a tractor when he was five years old... We need REAL FOOD... Not GMO, Not pesticides, NOT... Please stay STRONG!

  • End agricultural subsidies.

  • What can we do to help small farmers who produce our vegetables to survive?
