the back was left uncovered so that you can have access to the UMD slot, since the case is tightly secured, it would be a hussel to remove the case every time you change tthe game

Its not suppose to be protected if you're going to play with the case on. If the back was protected you dont have access to the UMD drive.

I've use two PSP cases the first just for protection is the PlayGear Pocket Slim. The other which is better for travelling, Logitech Shoulder Strap Case (PSP). I'm lucky enough to have two of the original 1000 that's aren't tied to UMDs anymore... its my own personal SNES in my pocket! =D

You should also use a screen guard. My PSP 1000 may be scratched up and worn out, but my screen is still pristine.

I would say jut go with a name brand silicone case, It's what i use to protect mines, Also dosent get in the way as much as a giant hunk of plastic.

one did you already do this review im getting some major dajavu comen on. two they probly didnt give it a back becuse it would interfere with the opening of the game slot. but still it could be a little bit more atleast to it gets to the opening part.
