  • FabFreddie.

    =

    TLC

  • Isn't this the same melody to Manhattan Tranfer's "Quietude?" or is the song's name something else. I don't know... jus sounds familiar.

  • Thanks MR1104.appreciate it...

  • playing this in jazz band. bass bitches ;)

  • @mozart028 hahaha yupp us too but im sax

  • This song was written for me. Duane Frederick Hubbard, Freddie's son. R.I.P. DAD.

  • @DUANESKEE hey man - knew your dad well - think the world of him - yes RIP.

  • This video is missing the best part, which is the INTRO ! !

  • ((:- DANCE ?? NO FEET MOVING ! -:)) , a great song for tigh dance without moving from floor .

Thank you ((:- rovingeye2 -:)) for this great romantic video , Leon ♪♪♪

  • Sharp, a quarter tone. I absolutely love this though. The Milt Jackson, Sunflower version has always been my favorite: Milt, Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard, Ron Carter, Billy Cobham. Post-Bop.

  • so who was the drummer?

  • Darn good, but Freddie's holding back what he can really do here. In his "Red Clay" and "First Light" days, he was playing better than anybody, including Miles. Like Stan Getz, Freddie has a pretty and distinct tone, but could swing at a moment's notice in any context. For the definitive vocal version of this great tune, try to find Rebecca Parris's version which appears on a hard-to-find album called "A Passionate Fling". PS, Al Jarreau does a nice job here too.

  • @buzzguy72 Freddie might be my favorite player ever. He swings like a damn pendulum, has more soul than anyone I've ever heard, and has so much technical skill...

  • ((((THIS IS LIFE, LOVE IT!))))

  • stunning, takes me right back. The piano AND the trumpet, bring it on!! Superb

  • Sampled by: Pepe Bradock -- "Deep Burnt"

He made a great deep house track out of this...

  • @afjetflyr Do you know which bit? I cant hear the sample in there

  • I'm In love of his amazing sound !!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • im playing too..... alto sax. ; )

  • im playing this song for jazz band... piano. :)

  • If you can't guess the vocalist here, you missed the eighties and skidded past the nineties...FYI Al Jarreau!

  • Looooooove it! one of Freddies best!

  • and i LOVE the solo at the end

  • this is truly beautiful. gets no better.

  • So who else here loves Chick Corea?

  • I do !

  • @Denkyuu ME!!!

  • @Denkyuu I do! but Im not gonna like your comment :D
