Sharp, a quarter tone. I absolutely love this though. The Milt Jackson, Sunflower version has always been my favorite: Milt, Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard, Ron Carter, Billy Cobham. Post-Bop.
Darn good, but Freddie's holding back what he can really do here. In his "Red Clay" and "First Light" days, he was playing better than anybody, including Miles. Like Stan Getz, Freddie has a pretty and distinct tone, but could swing at a moment's notice in any context. For the definitive vocal version of this great tune, try to find Rebecca Parris's version which appears on a hard-to-find album called "A Passionate Fling". PS, Al Jarreau does a nice job here too.
@buzzguy72 Freddie might be my favorite player ever. He swings like a damn pendulum, has more soul than anyone I've ever heard, and has so much technical skill...
george benson would sound awesome on this tune

Isn't this the same melody to Manhattan Tranfer's "Quietude?" or is the song's name something else. I don't know... jus sounds familiar.
