  • Oh, for crying out loud let Will have his own Robot bodyguard. While no comparison to the previous Robot from the movie and TV series, I do like how the original head is seen in the backgorund.

  • how touching

  • NO SMITH??? WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING???

  • the pilot of the orignal series did not have smith or the robot. i guess they thought to imitate that. the orignal pilot got reworked into a couple of episodes of the first seasons with sceans of smith inserted.

  • some great inforamtion here thanks

  • OH HELL NO, the characters are all wrong and why do these so called directors think that all americans are from disfunctional families !!!!

  • Wow, the girl in this was also wonder woman in the failed pilot last year! She's bad luck!

  • I can see why it didn't get picked up. Some interesting ideas, but not a cohesive whole; like 90210 meets Star Trek: Voyager (and with just a hint of New Battlestar Galactica, but not enough). Not that the original Lost in Space was high art or anything, but...

  • Our son is being beaten up by local bullies! For God sake... lets stay here!

  • The lovely Adrianne Palicki played Supergirl (kind of) on an episode of Smallville. Jayne Brook is a good actress, she was on Chicago Hope.

  • A Kind of De Ja Vu of years ago: the Arrival of U.S.S. GRIT at the Banquet and what is fated to follow! As for this Pilot Film of Lost in Space:it has its good Stars though it departs in basic Cast mold from the original series but good enough for the CIC of the Battlestar Pegasus! It is interesting that Will Robinson has an older brother David(like my own older brother David!) but there is no Penny Robinson so it was better to stick to th'original Cast of charasters! Major Don West is Kid here

  • Well this sucks.....

  • This is really hard to watch, but I'm really happy that you posted it. thank you.

  • With tech in 2000-11 now, they remake the series a third time, and try it again, even if it might have one season. Oh well, didn't know of the other remake.

  • Stop at 6:40. The original B9 robot's head is behind Will. Nice nod.

  • Eeeeeew! I am so glad this never sold cos I would have probably had to watch a serious load of c**p. Just because I watched the originals and the film.

  • Such bull****! Where is Penny and Dr. Smith? So they decided to replace Penny with a son? Hahaha.

  • @Zimmer89TH PENNY IS THE BABY

  • If there is oen consolation to this show.. the set was sold and reused for a better show... the CIC of the Battlestar Pegasus

  • Oh man, what a piece of crap. I couldn't even watch the whole thing.

  • How about Penny Robinson and Dr. Zachary Smith?? Who tha heck is David Robinson????

  • The movie and TV series is better. No wonder this show got caned...

  • Is this available anywhere on DVD? It sure would be good to have it stored on a better medium then here on YouTube, as well as being able to watch it on a larger format. If available, please tell me where. Thank you.

  • wooooo dull dull dull

appalling dialogue.... one cliche after another

  • Oh man I was expecting something more but it's an 90210 episode in space no wonder the show never was past this corny intro! Maybe they'll do a different version that can keep one's interest rather than yawning to sleep with boredom!

  • I like science fiction, thnks! for uploading ;)

  • They're moving to another planet.... and packing things like sheets? Even in 2097 you'd be paying something like 1,000 to 10,000 dollars per ounce to send those sheets.

  • So Penny had a sex change?

  • Notice the original robot's bubble-head behind Will at 6:38.

  • Colonel John Robinson? You would think that saving the earth would be worthy of a promotion to General, not even merely Brigadier General.

  • @cosg9531 - I don't know where they came up with this. John Robinson was never in the military, he was a scientist. No wonder this was bad.

  • Where's Penny? Did I miss her?

  • @marvchomer They turned her into a baby which made no sense as she was suppose to be older than Will.

  • Why they thought this show would fly with all the major changes they made is beyond me.

I think they just had a lousy pilot sitting around and thought they could cash in on the LIS fame.

  • oh well. john woo can't win 'em all!

  • I so never saw this.

  • Lots of dead air. Writers too young and overtrained to be humorous. But, hey, it's for TV and TV can't afford good writers these days. Even movies are boring. A good writer like me can make Will Robinson the computer interface. Rewrite Penny a preteen tomboy genius with any number of delinquencies. Turn Doctor Smith into a saintly doctor, Mrs. R. into a burned out single mom. Decap Judy via lookalike in act one. Portray the men as military jocks. Battle and war. Sex and violence. Hire me.

  • @1emanres They turned the Butler Jarvis into a computer program in the Ironman movie. Iceman into a little kid in xmen movie also in xmen movie Rouge seemed more like Kitty Pride, Wild Wild West star Will Smith so how does he look like Robert Conrad. They turned Boomer and Starbuck into women in remake of Battle Sta Galatica and Colonel Tie turned into a white guy. Karate KId went from being hispanic to black and foe from blonde to chinese. So remakes often don't resemble previous.

  • I'm mad that I wouldn't have known about this if I hadn't read a Wikipedia entry. And LMAO @ "Honey, you built yourself a bodyguard?" Something about that was funny.

  • I'm mad that I wouldn't have known about this if I hadn't read a Wikipedia entry.

  • @mscaxe So am I. Still it never aired so it's understandable.

  • Major West is 15 years old?

  • Judy Robinson(Adrianne Palicki)is now going to be the next actress to play Wonder Woman as her next show

her only real successful show has been FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

still i wondered how in second written episode for this remake LOST IN SPACE if they ever included Dr.Smith since he a no show here, for all i know they may have just used something like the Gary Oldman version from the movie

  • Lost in Space as a chick flick?

  • It is beyond embarrassing. The casting is so wrong it is hilarious (but in a bad way). John Woo must have directed this by telephone from his bath tub while drinking tequila and watching some ludicrous soap opera to inspire himself. And the rest of the stuff is no better... the original series was indeed timeless, but even the horrible movie version was much better than this one.

It is sad to see money wasted like that... fortunately we didn't have to endure a full season of this trash!

  • stupid...

  • you know when the actors put emphasis on the wrong words in their dialogue that something is not quite right... "they keep my BUTT in line" should have been more like "they KEEP my butt in line"

  • Just so EVERYONE knows about the unfinished look. It never was finished, or ever seen on TV.

That's why we see wires hanging. Unfinished special effects.

Personally, better that the LIS movie.

    Talking about it here lostinspaceforum

    John

  • LOL This stinks ...

  • Wow! John Woo directed this? What the fuck? This is awful.

  • Uh ... so far, not so good.

  • Wow, this whole thing was bizarre. It's like watching someone doing a bad impersonation of how john woo would have directed the pilot of the series. It's also fun to watch something that's this unfinished. With blatant wire-work still present and little to no sound-design.

  • Wait, John Woo directed this? Are there dual guns and doves? There better be some fucking dual guns and doves in this...

  • @deathwishtaco Rotfl ;D

  • It's not the worst pilot ever and the premise is solid, I'd have watched this show.

  • What the hell am I watching? LIS or One Tree Hill?

  • This looks completely miscast. But a lot of people don't seem to understand that this is an acceptance pilot, it would NEVER have aired. If you watch the Buffy pilot it is so terrible, but the pilot that aired is much much better.

The cast as a whole looks miscast, I think the movie wasn't bad; it wasn't incredible, but it was family friendly and fun and I liked the cast. It could have been better, but it was enjoyable.

  • First shot is from an episode of Firefly. Not a rip off, the actual shot of the fancy building shot from above.

  • Is it just me or do Judy and David look as if they are about to make a move on each other at the party?

  • Hmmm. Judy looks a lot like Sam Winchester's murdered girlfriend in the pilot episode of "Supernatural".

  • @GuitarChickSG1 - That's because it is. Adrianne Palicki.

  • @DirkBelig Yeah, I knew it was. Just trying to be humorous.

  • I not totally sure but I think his wife used a whole packet of starch when she washed his suit

  • did anyone catch the head piece from the original robot in the garage scene?

  • this somehow combines by-the-numbers cliches with the worst stereotypes of the time

anti-intellectual (Colonel Robinson instead of Professor Robinson?), tritely grim, a pretentious sort of fake angst to the kids, and the hackneyed stereotype that no man can be a good father unless the series is filmed in black and white

  • Y LA ORIGINAL SERIE????

  • I never heard of this until now but I'd have to say that I HATE IT! They are doing what most TV shows have been doing for the last couple decades.... the actors are way too concerned with looking "Cool" and "Overly Serious" than to actually ACT. The movie version was also terrible. No one seems to act with sincerity anymore. As campy and cheesy as the original was I still LOVE the original far better. The original wasn't boring and the actors showed a wide range of emotions.

  • Am I imagining things, or is the actor playing John Robinson the "Tin Man"?.....I would much rather see a classic series be "revisioned" like this one did than copied....Too bad it wasn't picked up....Just shows how stupid studio execs are....This is very interesting.

  • In my opinion this series had a chance. Serious script, like Lost In Space's first season. Perhaps a Dr. Smith somewhere along the line. This had possibilities. I thought it seemed much better than the movie.

To those who mentioned the comic book: Remember that Disney's Swiss Family Robinson success and the space program had a lot of people thinking of a Space Family Robinson idea for TV and movies. Irwin Allen was one of several who were promoting such an idea. it's just that his sold

  • The movie and this pilot sucked! Did not stay true to the wonderful original series!

  • The actor playing John Robinson is a hottie!

  • You sure dad isn't the new Mr Smith?

He sounds like a douche bag!

Taking the family across the galaxy through god knows how dangerous space... an infant daughter (I assume), a kid genius (Still think Bill Mumy is better!), daughter Judy (hey is that rogue?) so who's the guy they were with?

  • I'm late to this party. Saw post where someone denounced all L.I.S. and other lurkers wish for new movie-series as lame and basically worthless. In effect told them to grow up! Not sure who it was, but would like to ask same and all of you a? Where you aware that a good comic book series about the Robinson’s existed long before L.I.S. look up Space Family Robinson on google. See links there. Making that comic series into a movie or series would be a great new concept. Talk to me!

  • This looked good. Better than that horrible, campy shit from the 60's.

  • thanks for posting this . big fan. a tweak here and there and it would be killer. good show.

  • well wrote. would be excellent for those that not watched original series or film.ahead of it's time a little for bullying .issue. well done

  • well wrote. would be excellent for those that not watched original series or film.

  • You can see the head of the original robot behind Will, when they show him working on his own robot.

  • Ive said it before.

If someone would simply have the wisdom to cast the B52's in a remake, youd not only recapture the rare fun/scifi essence of the show, youd have a MAJOR hit on your hands- reviving worldwide passion into BOTH brands!

  • Their Judy is a fantastic BABE, but you can sure see the mark of the WB all over it, since clearly her and the new teen brother are THE focus of the show-- But newsflash, WB, teen angst is not going to be driving too many plots when no other humans are around. And how the hell does Will build this robot AND NO ONE KNOWS IT UNTIL NOW?

  • WTF! Why so serious? The charm of the original was that it was fun.

  • Hey Tooleman howd u get ur hands on this if it was never aired just curious?

  • Original Series: 66.6% It was the original! What sort of idiot WOULDN'T like it?

Remake Movie: 33.3% It's hard to believe, but a handful of people (myself included) actually LIKE it.

This... Thing: 00.0% At least the movie actually had a robot that looked SOMETHING like B9.

  • thejohn robison guy--Brad Johnson... was good-he looked like guy, walked like him ,had the stare and features of guy--so he was cast well-the rest--i didnt understand what ,whom was who and what they were saying--comes back to the writers and producers--what are they doing--theyve got the technology and talent to create but fail time and time again--they turned it into a drama soap---irwin would say pathetic-i think they want it to fail deliberately--will just have to wait for bill mumy to try..

  • Saw LOS back in 1965 when I was a kid, a big fan, and eagerly waited for the movie, even bought the comic book written by Bill Mumy. Big disappointment when the 1998 movie came out. The cast wasn't bad but there were too many changes. Loved the LOS Forever documentry, wish it was made as a TV movie. Didn't even know about this 2004 pilot. Too boring at the beginning. Hopefully someday one can use the CGI created original looks and actors and maybe even use the original cast voices.

  • Momma and Daddy were ok............The rest...even the background pukes....PATHETIC.

Hollywood and its weird ideas of real people. It gets worse each year.

  • wow the daughter is hot! Sorry, i got distracted

  • Never knew this existed. I recognize a couple of actors though.

  • Is the blonde daughter the same actress who plays the pregnant waitress in "Legion"?

  • If the movie did poorly at the box office why would they think a TV show with less money would do any better?

  • Wow, This Show Would Have Sucked!!!

  • Stupid looking robot. They just don't make like B-9 anymore.

  • Wow. This is really bad. 2097 and we still look like the early 21st? The wife doesn't want to move her youngest son away from a bad school? Be a family - what are the kids doing that is so pressing? Jeez.

  • sorry, ehh.... not as good as the original...or even the movie for that matter. would have preferred the movie turned into a show than this.

  • iam hopeing that Warners include this on the upcomming bluray release of Lost in Space comming in sept this year. Like they did with the Unaired L.A. Confidental pilot (shot at the same time the 24 pilot was shot) on the L.A. Confidential movie bluray release, or the unaired Aquaman Pilot on the recent bluray release of Justice League crisis on infinite earths. or the Black Bart pilot on the Blazzing saddles bluray and dvd releases.

they do make for an intresting special feature

  • Wow the robot is shit

  • John Woo? You kidding me?

  • this coulda worked

  • This is that short-lived version on the WB Network from 2004. It wasn't that good. The movie version was much better than this, And the old TV classic was timeless.

  • Short-lived? No, it never lived at all, other than as a pilot that was never bought.

  • @TooleMan87 -That's what I mean by "Short lived"

  • Comment removed

  • @TooleMan87 No wonder, the pilot sucked, full over model looking plastic people who couldn't act. It came off as PLASTIC and COLD!

  • @TooleMan87 Maybe Virgil is from an alternate universe.

  • @VirgilB01 omg I never knew about this.

  • @groundpounder35 - This was a very poor TV version that was being sold to the public after the success of the movie re-make. It only lasted just as the pilot episode.

  • @VirgilB01 Thx for the info, but I have to pass on this. I have been a life long fan of the original series. The movie was slightly different from the orig. but this version is taking the term artistic license and beating me about the head and ears with it. I just wish someone would bring the Robinson family and pilot D.West, and even the saboteur Dr. Smith back to earth. Even Gilligan was eventually rescued, the best thing about that is he bought Maryann with him. Thx again.

  • @groundpounder35 - You're not the only one who wanted to pass on this. You're in good company. This version is the worst I've ever seen. It's like 90210 meets Lost In Space, with drama and sexual overtones far removed from the original series. I remember one time Jonathan Harris (Dr. Smith) spoke on meeting with Irwin Allen (now both deceased) wanting to do a TV movie on Lost in Space, this was in the late 70's and even got the rest of the cast from the original series who wanted-

  • it for the fans. Allen said no and he wanted nothing more to do with "Lost in Space" since he held all the rights to the series along with CBS Television, even though millions of fans wanted it. Star Trek fans pleaded with Paramount and they got their wish- "Star Trek- The Motion Picture" in 79' and even more sucessful "Star Trek" films and TV series. Even Guy Williams wanted to reprise the role of "John Robinson" before his death in Spain. 'Bill Mumy" ( Will Robinson) who was also unsuccessful-

  • with Allen created a comic book version instead. It wasn't until the movie version was created with the original cast (without Harris and Guy Williams) playing other roles in the film which was ok, but not as good as the oringinal.

  • DIRECTED by JOHN WOO!!!! awsome!

  • What the hell is this???

    This is Lost in Space???

  • campy this, im tired of hearing about this and the roiginal series was campy, well why is it so timeless

  • Thanks for posting!!!

  • Is this available on DVD?

  • @stoped. Let's end this with a cautionary note. The Creator composed the Human condition such that, as a complete, dynamic organism, mankind can't hope to exist and further grow without generational dissemination of the knowlege of what went on before. So, if you don't know, you simply don't know. Capice? One will not gain insight from stupid sci-fi, either. So that you're informed. Though I-N-S-P-I-R-A-T-I-O-N can be gotten from any source, preferably from the sober, older generation. THE END!

  • Wow...only 5mins into it and it sucks.

    Daddy issues!?!

    Cliche drama!?!

And what the hell, thats the Robot!?!

    Sad.

Why didn't they just spin it from the original plot?

  • Well, it was less obnoxious than the stupid film.

  • If I didn't fall asleep waiting for the plot to thicken I think I might like it better.

  • i like it as i crave anything sci fi , there is far to little sci fi type movies and shows on so unless it is just absolutely unwatchable i am all for it this would be great for my sci fi collection how can i get it on dvd so i can watch this on my big screen i cant find it anywhere?

  • You'll have to go the the dealer's room of a science fiction convention and buy this pilot from a dealer that specializes in putting pilots like this on DVD.

  • I heard a rumour that they were going to produce a new lost in space, but I never knew that it had actually filmed a pilot episode! And thank the Gods that this never made it, it looks awful. The reason that the original worked so well, was it was weird, bizarre, strange and dam odd! But above all else it was fun and funny with Johnathan Harris and the Robot and will and penny having adventures.

  • Cont:

The film sort of captured part of the spirit of the TV series, but in my opinion lacked the humour and warmth. However, this is charm less; you know what it would have been like, pushy a bit like the film, sulking Brats, no comedy and a soulless CGI soap! I hope one day someone does remake it but remembers why the original format worked so well and still has a cult following. :)

  • @stoped2. Really, not true. The pilot had to be shot twice to even market to industry buyers and potential network sponsors. So did "Star Trek". Also, the scientific basis of space travel was all innaccurate and inept. I was really surprised at Irwin Allen, since he was asci-fi enthusiast. Like, dude, didn't he have any competent scientific or technical consultants?

The real reason the pilot and series worked was because of NASA and Kennedy's mission for it to land a man on the moon!!!

  • @Atomank68

"scientific basis of space travel was all innaccurate and inept."

I think that youre missing the point the original was a lot of fun, the story line were so strange Alice in Wonderland stuff sometimes, but the humour was there. As for the later spin off Star trek I can't watch them they are boring PC soaps!

  • @stoped2. I don't mean to be rude, truly, but YOU'RE missing the point! I saw this series as a first run in Sept. 8, 1965. The entire feasibility of the presentation was that America was ready for something on the order of serious sci-fi that both adults and kids could relate to given the environment of the space program's "Race for the Moon" and the efficacy that NASA had brought the US out of the 1957-60 recession. Why the series fell on its face after two seasons would take-up a whole page!

  • @Atomank68

"I don't mean to be rude, truly"

    Your not.

"America was ready for something on the order of serious sci-fi"

I take on board what you are saying, but I would say that lost in space is more in the vain of films like Forbidden Planet, This Island Earth and even earlier to Flash Gordon etc. All of which were made before Sputnik 1and the space race. People are/or were interested in space they wanted adventure

  • Cont:

It is Johann David Wyss story of the Swiss family Robisons set in space

There was also the Brits Dan Dare total nonsense but fun. Sure there was fear mostly about Atomic weopens that is why you have all those mutating monster films like Them!

  • Cont:

""Trek" was so ground-breaking for its time that's why it's endured for nearly FIFTY YEARS!!!"

Yes but the biggest rival to it was Irwin's Lost In Space, Trek took all that cold war anxiety and set it space, the federation the good guys NATO, verses evil empires Warsaw pact . Once that had gone its reason went! That is why the spin offs were so bad in my Opinion.

  • @stoped2. I see you're particular about "Space". Okay, okay. But let me correct you on a few things. The 1940s and 50s sci-fi were BEFORE the 1957 Sputnick. "Trek" did not nor was designed to ease cold-war fears since no one saw a show as different as it coming. And even "Star Trek" for all of Gene's best efforts at scientific accuracy suffered more from budget restraints and-once again-"all wise" meddling network execs! The Apollo mission redirected ppls anxiety from both Ruskies And Vietnam!!!

  • @Atomank68

"But let me correct you on a few things. The 1940s and 50s sci-fi were BEFORE the 1957 Sputnick."

I thought that I said that

"All of which were made before Sputnik 1and the space race."

  • @Atomank68

""Trek" did not nor was designed to ease cold-war fears since no one saw a show"

Never said that! The cold war played major apart in the psychology of Science fiction of the time. In Star Trek the Federation was Nato. With the Federation fighting the bad guys

    ( communist Empires. )

  • @stoped2. Look, STOP, ENOUGH!!! I'm not allowing myself to go through campy juvenile debate! The facts are the facts of reality. What you like is what it is for you. All I was doing was give you a little history leason as I've lived it, in those heady times that were. Sadly, we're living the final stages of socio-economic collapse, and due to your and your parents hedonistic indulgences, there's no getting out of this. If you want a clear understanding, read the history of Pericles of Athens!

  • @Atomank68

Hey your Venerable sagacity! You never asked me if these campy si-fi programmes got me interested in taking up Science!!!! :)

  • @stoped. What, I never thought to ask if you were a rocket scientist? An egg-head, like myself? Well, please excuse me, sir!

You gave not the least inspiration to ever make me think you were, and you never shall!!!

    "Be seeing you!!!"-From "the Prisoner"

  • @Atomank68

"Star Trek" became a lightening rod for political controversey whereas"

Yes, Gene was an liberal who tried to get out social ideas of the time. Nether the less it was a western set in space as was lost in Space.

Once the angst of the cold war had past the spin offs seemed dated.

  • @Atomank68

    "C-A-M-P-Y"

Yes it was. It was. It was fun, it wasn't up its own Ass, and this pilot seems to have missed the point of the camp and the fun aspect.

And lets face it the later spin offs of Star Trek are as camp as hell. Were did all that honour BS of the knobbly headed Klingons come from? They weren't like that in the original they were just Nefarious.

  • @stoped2. Oh, and before I forget: "Lost in Space" was not really a "rival" to "Trek". Listen and attend: "Star Trek" became a lightening rod for political controversey whereas "space" was simply C-A-M-P-Y!!! I forego the Uhura\Michelle Nichols civil rights thing. There was serious debate in the US Senate, Congress and Buget Office if NASA was even going to survive past the Apollo mission. Gene gave testimony in congress, I believe. Countless ppl have proudly admitted that they became (Cont;d)

  • @stoped2. (Cont'd)...Countless ppl had proudly admitted that they became scientists and engineers soley because of "Trek" The space shuttle was name Enterprise, as Roddenberry named HIS starship! Nichell Nichols was approached by NASA four years after the series' end to be PR and recruiiter of more blacks to the agency. There are other glaring examples that GenX-ers miss WHO ARE NOT TEKKIES(ERS). The pias la resistance was that "Trek" revolutionized the sci-fi convention venue. Gene was shocked!

  • @stoped2. No, no, WRONG!!! Y'see, now? This is the kind of "logic" where a bumbling chemist thinking he's combining two volatile fluids into a stable compund blows himself up! Star Wars, like "Close Encounters" was campy entertainment to do two things: Profit and jump-start the sci-fi genre, which was fizzling-out after '73 because of "flower power", and tune-out, turn-on, and drop-out"; Also to energize crazy space- cultists like the "Halle-Bopp" Comet suicidalist, among others. That's the 70s!

  • @stoped2. Also understand again, if I failed to make it clear to you that "Star Wars" didn't inspire anything within distaffed youths except masturbation! I do admit, as I did then 33-years ago that the story-line was a masterpiece of sci-fi action sans the droll scientific explaination that most such movies invoked ala Heinlein. (No, kid, I didn't say Heiniken!) We went through a cultural decline in this country, descending into the abyss of cynicism that we can no longer acheive great things!

  • @stoped2. That's what's the matter with you second generation "lost souls" (your parents, The Boomers" (and no, not "The Boondocks",)have made mediocrity a past-time in itself. I'm not going to rant, but "Trek" was so ground-breaking for its time that's why it's endured for nearly FIFTY YEARS!!! And Roddenberry had to "pull teeth" outta these greedy, long-tooth nominalists to get the show green-lighted. All they were concerned with was money, sponsors, and if the show would play to the South!

  • tv execs want cross platform shows this is scifi plus the waltons in space this didnt work because that doesnt work: it cant find a solid audience. defying gravity had an awesome hour with12 of greys anatomy scripts thrown in, good ideas keep getting ruined.

  • i never even knew this crap existed

  • I like this updated concept. i always felt the original series while entertaining was very campy and it was more of a situation comedy than a serious sf series. I wish they had made this into a series.

  • In reference to the original cassic show 1965-1968.

If Irwin Allen knew the series was ending he should have made a final episode to complete the show, and get the Robinsons back to earth in the year 1999.

  • i agree kind of like the last episode of land of the lost season 2, the marshalls got to go home while three of the same marshals had to take their place. tv shows need closure.

  • it was glad this died off.........the original Lost n space was the classic i had wish before can they had them finally get home to earth before show was canceled in 1966......are 1968 not sure

  • The show was from 1965-1968

It was canceled in 1968 all I can say is I'm glad the series made it to dvd.

The classic series is LOST IN SPACE not the movie or this pilot.

  • A toilet the size of Johnathan Harris' ego isnt large enough to flush this horrid piece of CRAP!

  • Your kidding: Someone was high enough to convince TV execs to make a pilot out of that flop movie? Worst, and I mean THE worst idea since Ben Cross was chosen to sink the revised (and reviled) "Dark Shadows" pilot. Or maybe it was his karma?

  • This is a different concept from the movie, guy.

  • @Neville6000. You may like it. Grant your preference. But this stinker's whole plot was to cater to GenX-ers (subset Y and Z) soap-opera demographics. A lame attempt to make "Lost-in-Space: 90210"!!! A good celestial dialing address to sink this crap down a Black Hole!!!

  • There's a reason this didn't sell. Even the execs at the WB had minimal standards.

This isn't even quite good enough for Disney, and that's pretty low.

  • maybe I'm stupid or something - but maybe me being stupid or something represents the general public. As a pilot, i thought it was pretty good. Its no Battlestar Gallactica, but can compete with the more crappy Stargate, Earth - Final Conflict, and Farscape

  • "...maybe me being stupid or something represents the general public"

ding ding ding. We have a winner!

  • PS WHO FINANCES producers who have NO IDEA what MADE the original series WORK...you nEED a nemesis (SMITH) , You need A ROBOT to SMITH in check (alter ego) and you need to find a way to inject Morality and ethics (like in Season 1) without it being TOO preachy (making the characters reveal their flaws themselves and try and grow)

    This.....was NOTHING . A WASTE

    in every way possible.

The MOVIE was ALMOSt just as BAD

Why do ALL the Space ships HAVE to

    look like Battlestar galactica rejects?

  • WORST TV PILOT I have ever seen,. MISSING: a)Great effects b)Good cast chemsitry c)Moraliity and Ethics d)GOOD ACTORS e)Good Writers A JUNIOR in High School could do better. f)Great ALIENS (where are they here?) g)Great EQUIPMENT I BTW JUDY in this is about to emrge BIG TIME--she is the LEAD of RED DAWN. (name Adiranne Palicki).
  • Present:

Too many effects, it's like kids unwrapping their effects toys at Christmas and at the end of the day, showing you all the things they can do. So what? If there's a point, please get to it. Make me laugh....anything!

Also they take too freaking long making absolutely simple plot points. Don't they have about five scenes just to tell you that the laundry machine doesn't work? Man, gimme a break here.

  • The only bother me was Will building the robot.I like it better that fixed the one that came with ship. But not he did the movie. That Will Robinson ruined a perfectly good design for new Robot because some want the classic design back

  • The acting is awful.

  • This is crap. LIS was about peaceful colonization of space; not war. Leave that to Star Trek.
