you. Soon as your there walk right up to the force field and it'll throw you to the other side. Elijah will detect you, but if you have your detonator immediatley use it so you can kill him with the C4. But it will probably say you both killed him and sneaked away on the objective and you'll be able to get to the elevator with more time on your collar. :)

I finished this a long time ago and decided to play it again and found another alternative :D

Its really faster, first if you found 3 C4 and detonator, place at the end of the stairs where Elijah will come down from. Second, go inside the vault and collect all gold bars and finish talking to him the get out and use your stealth boy, then go to the entrance where he'll be exit out of to kill.

It wont let me do it. everytime I get to the door, wheather he's in the vault part or before he gets out of the elevator room the shields just jump up right as I get to it. Ive crouched and walked passed him and takin the longer ways but both doors throw up the barrier just as I get like 2 steps from being safe

If you have 100 melee you can destroy the turret generator and not worry about the turrets.....I followed what you did but without any stealth bonuses and still made it in my first try but still thanks for the guide!

there is another way, simply put donwn the c4 you can get from the police office nr the vault door and then run up to were he stands when he gets the turrets to shoot at you, blow up 1 turret and then sprint at the force fielded door, there will be 1 second when elijah runs through that you can also run through then w8 for elijay to get near the c4 and blow him up (i might do a tutorial(plz like so other people can see it)

If you have the Lonesome Road add-on you can sell the gold bars at the commission thingy right near the entrance of the first missile launching building. Once you buy more than 6,000 caps it will reset back to 6,000 once you open the commission back up.

Hey guys 10 times easier way to get out what u do is grab the loot turn difficulty to very easy (cus ull die fast) and before u destroy a turrent to make the bad guy come out u get close to the plasma field thing where he comes out and when u destroy a turrent keep moving in the direction of the plasma thing. u will b pushed into the room and then u can walk straight outta there thats how i did it. make sure u put thumbs up button so every 1 else will c and try it. EASIEST WAY OUT THERE!

@buttnuggetmerlino I had the same problem. As the guide says, you /have/ to be crouched. I was trying to walk out and I always was detected. I don't know if you are crouching, but it worked with me, even with the latest patch.

@rf0t0 Each of the holographic SM vendors has 2,500 in pre-war money, which you can trade for several gold bars. When you get back to the wasteland, just sell the thousands upon thousands of caps worth of pre-war money.

@barry770 @barry770 I mean i guess but then again the gold bars are just a novelty item, because if you really needed the money, you could of done the vendor glitch(at least i think it is) You have two of the same high priced items, but one is in bad condition and the other is in good. You sell both then buy back the one in bad condition and the vendor gives you the one in the best condition for the price of the one in bad. rinse and repeat and caps should never be a problem.

You don't need the fasttravel perk. Just drop all gold bars inside the bos bunker and come back. They will still be there but you have only 7 days ingame time to take them. Just keep coming back and everytime you come back you can take 3-7 bars. That's how i collected them all. I deleted the forcefield patch too.

they updated it so you cannot escape with all 37 gold bars. If you want to get out of the Sierra madre with all the bars you will need to clear your systems cache. (which deletes all updates)
