@Ghansenrietje Why? So you're forced to read text, distracting yourself more from the movie/show? When a dub is fine, why would someone ever watch it in japanese either than being a weaboo. I tried watching dragonball Z in japanese....couldn't stand gokus voice. I can understand if a dub is absolutely horrid or its hasnt been dubbed yet, but either than that, why?
@weegeechan I'm not a weaboo. Most of the time it's the style used in the movie that fits best with Japanese, in my opinion. Yeah, I liked Shin Chan in dutch but that was because I was young and now I don't like it in Japanese. That's just the way I've been raised. Other people may love the dubbed version but I think it's better to see the original first.
@TaigaXAzunyanX Not true. They're completely seperate. Disney just earned the rights to dub many Studio Ghibli films and distribute them in North America. So while their role is important, they really don't deserve as much credit as they're trying to take. That's like saying all of those animes that Funimation dubbed is solely thier genius and the actual creators are just an anecdote.
@Normal26Stack SG made it but disney was in charge of english dubbing, its much like how Toei animation animated Dragon ball yet Ocean or Funimation dubbed it in english.
