  • Cross is not an idol but a symbol,

catholics can defend their statue of Mary (I'm christian) fish is also just a symbol.

If you did your research you would find that the commandment "do not kill" is really do not murder, so 'killing' like in a war is not a sin

FOOLISH GENIOLOGIES obviously the ones you listed after wards were not foolish, come on now your just looking for anything to call a contradiction, open your mind and research

  • FAIL =IDOLS = Catholicism..not christian

FAIL =Isreali government isn't about christianty

FAIL =government armed forces isn't a Christian issue and not murder

FAIL =avoid foolish question and geniologies- you changed to ..avoid geniologies.

FAIL = God gave them the prophets and Moses to carry his evidence like it or not

FAIL = prayer is commanded in spirit and truth not as the hypcrytes pray to be seen

  • Fun little fact: The Jew's were actually given 613 commandments, but Christians could only be bothered with 10.

  • If Christians should not pray in public then why do they have 20,000 seat churches near me?

  • i swear, every song that you played on this video is on my Ipod haha

  • Hahahahahahaha.. Oh, where to start.. Let's start with the funnies.. The funniest for me was the fact Abraham had a coNvenant with Yahweh.. That was funny.. Second funniest thing was the fact that you use half of a scripture or just a single piece.. Allow me to show you what I mean.. Exodus 20: 4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol".. Fare enough.. BUT the next verse says "You shall not bow down yourself to them or serve them".. Would you like answers to the rest of your "fail" video?!

  • All Christianity and Judaism and Islam can do is threaten people into believing.

  • (5) Lastly, your "shocker" is one that I've heard 5 year olds explain before. The verse command is "be not AS the hypocrites are", that is the command, "for they love to pray.....THAT THEY MAY BE SEEN OF MEN." The entire purpose is to not try to APPEAR to be "more holy" because you are making long winded prayers "as the heathen do" (v. 7). It's a command as to the MANNER of praying, not the place. Why not? "for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him." (v. 8)

  • (4) Abraham was hundreds of years before the Law of Moses was even issued. Therefore Abraham had nothing to believe except what God directly commanded him. Abraham sinned multiple times, but he was counted faithful because he simply believed God. (Gen. 15:6, justified by faith) Whereas the rich man's family in Luke 16 had the writings of the Law of Moses, the Psalms, and the Prophets. Therefore they had no excuse for not believing.

  • (3) Genealogies were regarded by the Jews to be important. The gospels include them because it shows that Christ through his earthly mother was descendant from King David, therefore heir to the throne; and through his STEPfather Joseph, to show that LEGALLY, he was ALSO heir to the throne of David. The chapters in the Old Testament were under the Mosaic Law, and before Christ came and issued in the dispensation of Grace, which ended the law (Gal. 3:24), Timothy was to the Church, not Israel.

  • (1) Catholicism is not Christianity, but a blasphemous marriage with paganism (Rev. 2-3). So anything Catholic goes right out the door. (2) The commandment not to kill is made clear by the context of murder which is explained in the law. The execution of the idolaters in Ex. 32:28, is because they forsook the covenant between them and Jehovah. The entire Mosaic Law was the law of the NATION of ISRAEL. So all deaths in Israelf commanded by God were CAPITAL punishment for BREAKING the Law.

  • LEGO WIN!

  • The Matthew 6: 5-6 verses! lol

I've posted that on every video I've seen about praying in schools, in town halls etc.

So far, no response from any christians.

I've also brought up the "no making idols" verse many times.

  • You shortened the verse a little too much...

    Matthew 5:6-6:

"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in synagogues and corners of the streets, THAT THEY MAY BE SEEN BY MEN. Verily I say unto you, they shall have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter thy closet and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly."

  • You left a lot out of the verses and cut them short.

  • Yes, it says do not MURDER like do not go into someones house and stab and rob them. There is a difference in going to war or defending yourself. They are just saying who their relatives, that's how they were able to know who you were. Genealogy is the study of ancestry. Abraham just said, let Moses and the prophets handle it. Jesus was saying when you pray, don't do it just to make yourself look good, but do it modestly.

  • @SavannahCaldwell

What happened in the story certainly wasn't self defense.

It's ironic when a book goes into such detail just to say "BUT DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO ANY OF THAT"

No, he was saying "believe on faith alone" even though he never needed to.

Jesus should have been more specific then, you must be so much smarter than Jesus if you know what he wants better than he does.

I shortened lots of verses because I can't fit the entire bible into a 4 minute video.

  • @CarpeOmne Since when do you know what the Bible is always referring to? Did you write it? Did you meet God? No. You don't know any of this either, so I guess it kinda makes you the hypocrite.

  • @SavannahCaldwell

When did I say the Bible was written by god? This is your belief and the burden of proof lies upon you to prove it. I don't *always* know what the book is referring to because it is so convoluted and vague. It was written by a group of tribesmen over the course of a few thousand years, of course its going to be confusing and have contradictions.

  • @CarpeOmne You mean it is too well written to understand? I just got through reading a book called Great Expectations and it could be very hard to understand at times but people don't call IT convoluted. You obviously think you knew what Jesus was referring to. You made this video based on what you THOUGHT it meant. Well I have proof that the Bible wasn't written by people, or at least that it proves your theory wrong.

  • @SavannahCaldwell

There's a difference between being too complicated and not making sense to begin with.

As for snakes: every animal ancient people came into contact with had legs, except snakes. They already had the assumption of god, so they asked "why didn't god give them legs?". The answer, they thought, being that god hates snakes, which begs the question "why does god hate snakes?". They answered it as part of their myth. That at least seems a more likely explanation than a sky wizard.

  • @CarpeOmne Yes, the first sentence applies to you. What you said is assumptions, and beating around the bush. How do you know what kinds of animals humans came across? And scientists know that snakes used to have legs, as they can see on the bottom. So how could any human have seen the whole supposed process of evolution that scientists claim to take billions of years? Or, according to you, they were just really uneducated, so how could they have known? The only explanation is God.

  • @SavannahCaldwell

Most animals have four legs, it doesn't matter what animals they were meeting I can tell you that chances are they had four legs. Scientists don't claim to know snakes once had legs because they saw them evolve, they claim so because they have fossils.

Ever heard of a non-sequitur? It means "it does not follow". You're "the only explanation is god" conclusion doesn't logically follow from your premises (and many of your premises aren't even true to begin with).

  • @CarpeOmne Actually both of those reasons are wrong. Scientists know because of a certain bone snakes have. And I'm very familiar with the term non-sequitur, and of course you would be. What premises aren't true?

  • @CarpeOmne Ok, well you know how on snakes they have little bones that insinuate that they used to have legs? Yes. Ok, well according to you evolutionists, it would take billions of years for a change like this to happen, and furthermore a human could not see it. Well, in Genesis, God removes the legs from snakes as a punishment for the devil tricking Eve (because he came as a snake)

  • @CarpeOmne So, how could any human (if they wrote the Bible) from that time period have known that a snake did have legs, but didn't anymore? So it was either that they were a lot smarter than you think, or that God wrote the Bible. :)

  • epic win

  • u took a lot of that out of context

  • those are not idols, and if you had ever been in a church you would know that is a catholic church kind of different if you ask me. and those are not idols they are symbols which we can observe and focus on the true God. idols involve taking your time, your thought, your commitment. how about blackberries, video games, TV etc. the list goes.

  • "idols involve taking your time"

but you said "they are symbols which we can observe and focus on"

Am I correct in assuming that focusing on something requires time? Also, if you want to broaden the definition of idols so it encompasses blackberries and video games then you might as well sit down and slowly starve to death so you won't focus on getting food, staying healthy, etc. Because as soon as those things take up time they become idols by your own definition.

  • To add to that point, I am fairly certain that the process of building these idols, er, symbols took time (and not to mention wealth).

  • okay Exodus 20:13 is "Thou shall not MURDER.

the merriam-webster dictionary's definition of the word Murder is 1 : the crime of unlawfully killing a person especially with malice aforethought

the definition for Kill is 1 a : to deprive of life : cause the death of b (1) : to slaughter

these two words are confused all the time but have two totaly diffrent meanings. if it was thou shall not kill the whole Bible would infact contradict itself.

  • Semantics.

  • i loved it,

  • Beauty.

You need a better mic, sir. And you still deserve some subscribers!
