A lot of people grow into themselves as they get older, by that I mean the ones who are gorgeous when they are younger age very quickly and (a lot of times) not very well. Just my opinion.

I think this might have happened to me but I never noticed cause I hate being noticed even if it's something good. I can see how that'd be a lil difficult to live through. Some of our old formalities are there for a good reason, I wish more people knew them. I don't even know a lot of the proper manners.

That's exactly what happens when I hang around one of my friends. I'm not alone! Does your friend at least introduce you to the people she runs into? My friend used to run into people and just carry on a conversation while I stood quietly aside, until I told her it was making me feel uncomfortable. Now, she'll immediately introduce me and I feel less like an outsider.
