@FrieslesKaito Can you hook up to your router using an ethernet cable, that should get rid of the need for the user and pass. Otherwise contact who ever set the thing up.

@natacus2007 No it's okay. I worked out that I have a Sky router and it won't work with my DS. It works with my PSP though. I think it's because the DS needs Channel 11 but it is on channel 1 and I don't want to go fiddling around with that...

When I typed in the Gateway, I had to do all this Username and Password stuff. When I typed them in, here's what it said:

401 Unauthorized

Can somebody help me figure out why it's doing this?

mm system error not sure about that, but the other sounds like there is another computer on your network trying to do the same thing. Perhaps turn off all computer bar the one your using, or contact who ever is running your network. good luck

Ya thats normal, you should talk to who ever runs the internet in your house they may know the codes, or look at the manual that came with the router ( you may still be using the default codes ). Are you currently using wireless to connect? if so try using a wire to cable to connect and access the router - that might not require a password. Other than that perhaps contact your ISP. Not sure what you mean by default browser, by the default gateway (?) is the location of your router, easiest way to get to it is perhaps plug the router to your computer via an ethernet cable then type the address 192.168.?.? ( the number will depend on your set up, try looking at your ISP help manual or ask them ) good luck

Try going in control panel->settings->network-> properties or advanced settings you should be able to find the information there also. Maybe that will help

The method i have here is only getting information from the router not changing anything! Be careful when your in the router settings page not to go changing any information there - but if you by mistake there is usually a little reset button the back somewhere ( to restore factory settings )

If on your computer you go into start->control panel> network settings-> somwhere either in advanced settings or properties you will get all the information you need, Then when your finished just click cancel - that way whatever change you make it will not be saved. anyway it always asks do you want to save the changes - but then again i dont want to get your brother mad :)

The wep is a separate password for the wireless network, try looking up your manual or contacting the system administrator. Otherwise try connecting to the router with an Ethernet cable you might be able to reset wep without knowing it - just an idea

Yeah i get the same thing too, i think one is a near by office and the others are the neighbours personal wi-fi. My advice stay away, best case nothing happens and you get poor reception, worst case someone gets mad your stealing their wifi - bottom line stick with your own

Like i said in the info box ( top right ) i cant help you out with your own/someone else's network user/passwords. You need to contact who ever owns the network, if thats you then perhaps Google for the default password, or connect via Ethernet cable.

You sir, are a complete legend. Was banging my head off a wall after getting all the way to the end on my own and getting hit with the 'connection settings invalid' message. Your last bit about setting the Primary and Secondary DNS servers were the key to the problem.

I don't know if you already figured it out by now, but try typing "admin" into the username box && nothing in the password box, then click go or next or whatever, if it doesn't work, try typing "admin" into the password box && leaving the username box blank, && if that doesn't work try typing "admin" into both boxes

Mario Kart was one of the very first nintendo wi fi games. It does not work with every wifi router ( mine drops after the third race always ) basically it has a bug in the code, all the newer games are fine

I cant play mario kart ds online either ( cut off afer 3rd race ) it is known that mario kart ds has an online "bug" - it just does not work with all routers. I dont know anything about starfox.

you need to enter all the wireless details manually, ie dont search for access input the SSID, WEP, DNS , etc..

Its not a website its a web interface for controlling your router, not all routers have them, best way is to just plug your computer into the router via ethernet cable

Thats your router user name and pass, either its written on the router, or try google for the default name and pass. Other than that contact your ISP - hope that helps a bit

my set up is similar to most peoples, but there are always a few that different. Try connecting to the router via an Ethernet cable ( will bypass passwords if you have any),but IPCONFIG will tell you your default gateway
