probably the same way they do it at disney...what you don't see there is another pane of glass, at an angle ... then, there is a compartment that the viewers don't see (this one, is most likely behind the dog cemetary sign) in that compartment, the figure you want visible is lit up, to make it seem transparent at the viewer's looking point

I'm betting you use Light-O-Rama? I used it for Christmas for the first time this past year and it was AMAZING! I'm going to be doing it for Halloween too, but I never thought of a "pumpkin chorus" (though truly once they were carved they became a jack-o-lantern chorus)...GREAT IDEAS! And your thunder and lightning is FANTASTIC! The puns tho'...oooh, what groaners! LOL! But, that's the point and its FANTASTIC!!!
