Hey guys I'm selling my Omnisphere for a dam reasonable price!, I have all the cd's and box, booklets, everything brand new! email me here if interested: dexum175@yahoo.com ... serious inquiries please.
Hey, have you guys seen the Windows 7 equipped StudioBLADE keyboard workstation? Its perfect for running all your favorite Windows compatible software and plug-ins! Click the link below for videos!
Im running 5 patches with 3GB ram Omnisphere is coded to use one core. I think the Daw runs on a seperate core though so dual core processor is needed if you open more Omnisphere VST within your day they will run on seperate cores from oneanother.
I really want omni but no shops in england have it in stock it sounds better than any hardware synth so its great for the money tried all other soft synth demos they arnt anywhere near as close to omni. I might still get Zebra though that is a real good VST that has pure none sampled sounds but sounds a bit oldschool.
can someone please tell me what is a minimum setup for using this and perhaps some other softsynth (like absynth or fm8 by native inst.) for music production? Let's say I'd like to make a song with 20 tracks in logic...
What is a minimum RAM and CPU so this can run seamlessly?
What is better in terms of workflow and sounds 2-3 hardware synths (maybe K M3, Motif Xs Rack) or buying a powermac + omnisphere (+native instruments komplete)?
@sigmundklaus Dude to be safe you'll need 8 gig Ram and duo core mac .Absynth, FM8 work fine with 4 gig ram but when you start using big muthas like Omnisphere or Sample Logic they'll eat you all up!
You tastes are likely different from the presenter. Keep in mind that this demo was intended to show a very wide variety of the sounds in a very short period of time. Omnisphere now includes nearly 7,000 sounds and is used by top producers in every genre of electronic music. It is extremely vast and highly versatile.
This entire demo was actually done with exactly that same system. Make sure you have the latest updates and check out the chapter in the Omnisphere Reference Guide on CPU Optimization.
I have to get this off of my chest!!! At what point in all of music history have patches like this EVER been used in ACTUAL MUSIC!!?? What a waist of sample space...
I understan how you fell, but to be honest a lot of film include Fx like those weird noises which may not be use in a song, but it is useful in a movie. Their product is amazing and use in many Big movie films. Its good for both music and movies and many othe things, and the best part is that most of their update is FREE!!! Other companies you have to pay for an update, but i understand where you coming from : )
I know Trance uses vocal pads almost 150% of the freakn time... Im not talkin about those samples!!! Im talking about the "jazz stacks".. When the fuck have you ever heard a trance song go Doo Doo Pow!!!??? Listen from 1:02 - 1:12
Is it really that convincing? I use mostly soft synths and im guessing this thing beats ALL soft synths out there, and It has to be volumes above any hardware as far as variety???
1:34-1:53 is absolutely stunning. My band's keyboard and good friend just got this update and we're just amazed by how powerful and incredible Omnisphere and this update is. Well done, Eric and everyone at Spectrasonics!!

Does Omnisphere also have a lot of more ordinary sounds of piano and organs and such, or is it very synthesized?

how many songs use a piano? or a electric guitar? or , better yet, drums?!
it's not the sound alone that makes a great song... and the HUGE library offers limitless posibilities... the only thing limiting the song is you...
