  • Brilliant! and shockingly makes me want to be Canadian :-)

  • OMFG!!!! so amazing!!!! pq isso não eh tão frequente aqui no Brazil!!!????

  • yeahhhhh! way to be!

  • Yes i would have been the asshole who would have just walked into the middle of their routine

  • See? This is why canada is awsome!

  • now why didn't i knwo about this?!

  • now THAT is a flash mob.

i hate the others that are in a square already and OBVIOUSLY sumthings about to happen from all the cameras...its not really a FLASH then now is it

  • i love it :D

  • This is probably the greatest flashmob I've ever seen. Well done. However, I'd love to know if you had a link for me to buy the song, because I love that as well. Again, nice work. :^)

  • Genius, simple as that.

  • Saying that this kind of action would prevent wars is slightly preposterous. But I do agree that Flash Mobs do remind people to take a step back from every day life and remember that it is okay to have fun every once in a while.

  • wonderful! I get butterflys in my stomach, and feel all happy when watching this :)

  • This is great, but I was expecting the "Club Can't Handle Me" choreography. :( Quite a disappointment, and should NOT be called "International Dance Day" unless it was shot on July 30th and is the actual dance!!! Cute routine though-maybe just call the video something else???

  • @cbdances4god This is from International Dance Day. International Dance Day was founded in 1982 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and has been celebrated worldwide on April 29 for the past 29 years.

You seem to be mistaking this with National Dance Day which is a creation of the television show So You Think You Can Dance in 2010 as a commercial endeavor.

  • @TheTuronah WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT?? It was officially April 29th???? and started 29 years ago? REALLY???? How come I've never heard of it before????? I guess the TV show was the 1st time it was announced, and therefore, we assume it was "officially claimed" on July 30,th!!! CRAZY! I would've never known! Thanks for responding!!!\

  • AWSOME!! FINALLY A FLASH MOB FOR WHAT A FLASH MOB IS BY DEFINITION. THANK YOU!! :) can you shouw the people that call them selfs flash mobs what a flash mob is lol :)

  • i hope in countries like INDIA these things cud b promoted more because this is magik!!...

  • This one at Eaton Centre was much better than the one this year they did outside.

  • WOW that's amazing !! NICE!! !! ;)

  • i love how they're dancing on two floors!

  • I have a feeling if more people broke into dance at public places the world would be a better place. You know, less wars...or something.

  • wouldve been funny if this was a master burglary where the stores are robbed when everyone is distracted.

  • i want to move to toronto!!

    :)

  • the song is crapy

  • I am loving toronto soon would be there...

i had the amazing opertunity of taking apart in this! highlight of my life!

  • keep the arts alive!!

  • I love my city!

  • LOVE it!

  • there are wonderful people in this world...

  • The most amazing thing is how they timed it with the fountain (cause the fountain goes on and off regularly along the day), that was a GREAT effect :D

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE

  • amazing! so sad that I missed it

  • breezyair1, No problem! Think that I, in the otherside of this planet never watch somethink so beautiful like that. LOL.

  • i was in this and it was an amazing experience :)

  • I like how people randomly get surrounded by a flash mab without knowing.

  • Fountain on que, sweet =D

  • and the dancers got shirts that read "i feel it all" on the back

  • i saw a grandpa & a grandma dancing in that crowd.. & little munchkins. I love it :)

  • wow sweet

  • Nice, classy choice of music. Makes your flash mob stand out above the rest.

  • Fab! Love the flash mob :) so clever

  • this is why Toronto is so awesome. I miss working at Indigo so so so much!

  • hahaha i was in this ;) but now i live somewhere els :(

  • wow, awesome! i love it!!!

  • Is this some sort of international movement? I love this!!!

  • you might not ever belive this my school class didn't but I was part of this dance i wason the left balcony with my mom and brother

  • you might not ever belive this my school class didn't but I was part of this dance i wason the left balcony

  • you might not belive this but I was a part of that

  • Cool!!!!

  • FABULOUS!!

  • If there's another event like this!! I would love to get in on it!

  • One of the best flash mobs I've viewed on You Tube! Great song, never heard it before. Nice choreography -- I love the multi-levels of people dancing, so many!!

  • this is why i love canada!

  • LOVED IT!!!!!!! THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST I'VE SEEN OF FAR THIS YEAR. HOWEVER, I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A BROADER PERSPECTIVE TO GET A SENSE OF THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE INVOLVED; AND PEOPLE'S REACTION TO THE SURPRISE DANCE. THAT'S ALWAYS FUN TO SEE, TOO.

I'M FROM L.A., AND WE HAVEN'T GOTTEN IT RIGHT YET. GOOD JOB TORONTO!!!

  • @101makana well there was about 500 people i was one of the chorus dancers they told us that there were that many in rehesals

  • @101makana 500 people are in this routine and i'm dancing with them it was a pretty hard routine but you can easly learn the chorus with people there teaching you

    hope you get the routine

  • why didn't they do the national dance day choreo?

  • @therealgiannab8D it wasnt choreographed at the time. this was from april, and national dance day was last saturday and nappytab's choreo was up maybe at the end of may, not in april.

plus this was canada, and it was INTERnational dance day. most excellent though :)

  • @therealgiannab8D this was way before..

  • Love it!!!

  • Amazing!!!!!

  • Simply brilliant! Especially when the fountain went off at the perfect time! I wish there was something like this where I live!

  • As a dancer, this is a truly inspirational thing to see.

  • love it!!

  • I think dance is great, but I would be annoyed if I was in a public place needing to get somewhere quickly and there were people dancing around in my way. LOL

  • I can't believe I missed this! So awesome. I had the pleasure of having Matjash Mrozewski as an instructor at a camp one year ages ago before he become a choreographer. Absolutely amazing!

  • It;s so coool ! <3

  • Love this!!!!!

  • How cool! So everyone had rehearsed this previously and just came in at the right time? I'm a bit slow.

  • lol i was there but i left cuz it was kinda ghey and i dont regret leaving

  • I've shared this video as far as I can--A most fabulous celebration of dance, for sure. What a great example of teamwork and one vision, sharing and celebrating dance for all!

  • I was in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • rad

  • i heard they were in a rush to put this official video together & so sound a bit off, "sim tripps" has the original song sound

  • This is wicked, but the audio is slightly off time with the video, making the dancers look slightly off the beat. If you watch and listen to the claps, it is misaligned.

  • sorry 3:12

  • im the girl in the gay sweater at 3:08

  • I was there, In the crowd. IN the stands. Being blocked with my cdamra

  • love it

  • Damn! I wish I had been there! Wish this happened EVERY SINGLE DAY!

  • @1Epiphany4U agreed! so pretty and awesome and musical come to lifey. :)

  • i loved it... canadian charm ; )

  • Muito bom, muito bom mesmo, não consigo ver uma relação tão emocionante com musica, dança, sorrizos e o mais importante, pessoas se relacionando com a dança.

    muito bom mesmo!

  • patrick you rocked it!

  • it's "I feel it all" a Feist remix

  • Can you see how many differents nationalities!?!? That´s Toronto!

  • oh this is beautiful

what is the name of the song ?

  • Omg I'm in this :D so much fun to do!!!

  • Very cool!

  • Uh, in the beggining, why are people standing around in a circle like they were already expecting a show to happen??

I thought this was a 'flashmob'

    Flashmob fail

  • @ashmantoronto the original circle is mostly made up of people who join the dance as it goes on, both for ease of access to the dance, and to draw an audience

  • @ashmantoronto man its a bitch getting hundreds of people and speakers sneakily setup

  • how else would you do a dance with hundreds of people from kids to seniors & not bore the crap out of the audience? maybe it's not an official flash mob by the rules but what is the official genre? a bit of a few things. it would brighten my day working 9-5 if i'd been there!

  • too organized

  • great, but the song sucks

  • People were still surprised including those working in all levels of the mall and office spaces. Only one tweet said flashmob and the rest of twitter was quiet. They did a great job!

  • aha, i was there on may 1st (:

  • Only in toronto...

  • OMG, so cool! I am sorry I missed it.. Everyone looked amazing!

  • yes, proud parents are hard to keep away. Trust me, we were a little disappointed as well with the "lack of surprse". Still turned out fabulous, NBS ! So proud to be a part of this - when do we get to do it again ??!!!

  • alpha754293 - yup that is the goal. However, when kids are involved (and there were many here) their parents all come to watch (and grandmas and friends...). :) A small price to pay, I think, for having all of those people participating!

  • wait a minute...that's not really a flash mob. Why are there people already standing in a circle at the start of the dance?

The whole point of a flash mob is for a (large) group of people to randomly break into dance so that it APPEARS natural and unchoreographed. (Even though it is.)

See the T-mobile commerical - where they flash mobbed at the Liverpool Station.

  • YEAA this is my school :) I LOVE YOU GUYS :) best school ever ! GO MR.KASTOFF ! YEA Ms.TOTO ! haah we were supposed to go and watch but because we have 150 students it would be too crowded with everybody else there too. AWSOME ! GO NBS ! :D <3

  • great guys!!

  • fun fun fun!!!

  • they had something like this at YYZ except on a smaller scale

  • That put a smile on my face. Great to see toronto celebrating dance!

  • Wow! I can see everyone here! I even saw myself at the back :) Great video! Congratulations! Thanks NBS for a fun day!

  • Amazing! I was standing there when everyone around me suddenly joined the crowd. So much fun.

  • This is brilliant. Thank you, dancers, for making the world just a little more beautiful.

  • aww man i wish i was at the eaton center when that happened!!

  • WOW!!!! Thank You National Ballet School!!

  • Wow! So much fun!

  • I love all the angles, it gets absolutely everyone, including the little guys :)

  • this is great! love the movement and song.

  • @kronicmnemonik I Feel It All by Feist.

  • Love, love, love it!!
