  • I'm trying to learn this song, I think it should be in Open G rather than Open A

  • @x53234 It was recorded in open A, but they played it onstage in open G. Regardless, those tunings have identical intervals, so it would be played exactly the same either way.

  • Excellent job man ..Really great exactly it....

  • thumbs up for the villus XD

    good cover man, really

  • Love the short shorts! Lol, Ive got a pair that are cut off, rolled up, and have the pocket hangin out. Nothin like drivin down the road in a 68 mustang with those on and a vintage The Doors shirt :D

  • @sgtpeppers94 Hey I never asked you... do you like guacamole?

  • Not too shabby. What is finish on guitar? Is that honey burst?

  • You should try experimenting with different size slides. I bought a steel slide after seeing Pagey's insanely good Earls Court performance, and couldnt get to grips with it until I bought a smaller 3/4 size one.

  • what effect are you using kind sir?

  • @LedZeppelin1275 Electroharmonix Small Stone phase shifter.

  • Rockin man! thanks for the help

  • if you could cover bohnham,s drumming, i would be your groupie for ever!!!!!!

  • @jtilldad If I could cover Bonham's drumming, I'd be a millionaire.

  • @privettricker you should be a millionaire because your playing is gold. Thank you for the cover

  • nice cover btw.is there a part 2??

  • @TheStormtrooperrr Haven't gotten around to it.

  • Hey man, nice playing and awesome shirt =)

  • this is a preservative? e.e

  • @youboli Yes, it's sodium bisulfite.

  • do you tighten or loosen the d string to e

  • @theguitarhero1000000 The D goes up to E. Carefully.

  • @privettricker

I play it in open G (capo optional). Saved a lot of strings :))

  • @Ronni3no2 When Zeppelin used to do it live, they did it in open G (no capo).

  • fuck what everyone else wants to here or learn dude, play what _u like

  • nice shirt

  • What a rubbish song though ;o)

Honestly this song makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up !

    AWESOME, nicely done.

Oh You made me buy a Tanglewood Les Paul now.... So I hope you're happy with yourself.

  • @kevlarmouth My mission in life is to make you go broke from buying guitars. :)

  • Hey man..good job! Work on that slide a bit....what helped me with slide is jacking the bridge up to make the strings higer and use a little vibrato in your slide finger/hand. It helps it sound more fluid instead of staccato-like. Nice guitar by the way! Great video!!!

  • @imemine5 Yeah, I'll work on my slide playing some day. I don't think I'll ever be able to compete with a guy like my brother, who took to slide playing pretty naturally!

  • Is that open g tunning?????

  • @sexauer1 Info box.

  • @privettricker Thanks for the reply. Your vids are great. I've spent all day learning new songs. Do you know any davy knowls with back door slam???? Would love to learn the song come home.... Check it out.

    Thanks

  • That was pretty good.

  • I wish I could do that.

  • @johnmkirchner I wish I could, too!

  • this helps thanks

  • is that a glass slide you bought or is it cut from a bottle?

  • @theplourde No, I didn't cut it. I don't really play slide very much, so I just get them off the shelf.

  • Hey bro : how bout demoing 'Mainline Florida' by Clapton ??? I d love to see that demo'ed

  • what effect are U using? a flange ?

  • @hazor777 It's an ElectroHarmonix Small Stone phase shifter. Jimmy used an MXR Phase 90 (or a 100).

  • Show us your face!

  • thanks, .... a song a once knew but forgot how to play...now I can refer to this if I want to relearn it :-)

  • Nice work.

Silly question here, but since you do stuff by ear, how do you know when something is in a different tuning?

  • @RS1Comedy1Vids Well, for a song like this, you can tell it's an open tuning because of the slide work on it. You couldn't play this one properly in standard tuning.

  • @privettricker Yes, but not all songs that have slide work are in open tunings, nice job!

  • @da324 Of course. But you can often tell which ones are, by things like open notes, drone notes, octaves.

  • Excellent
