  • I have a 4.2 inline 6 in my 88' wrangler. I'm in the process of getting it running again. I'm 16 and don't know much about my motor, could you tell me what was wrong in yours and how you fixed it, tips could help aha. My dad thinks mine has a bad push rod or a bad main bearing (?), nice jeep btw.

  • actually, we have only ever had small electrical problems with this jeep, we are currently in the process of putting lower gears in it.(thats why the front end is apart) but we just shot some carb cleaner in the carb and it fired rite up, what all is happening with yours? is it making any funky sounds and stuff like that? and if its a push rod thats a relatively easy fix. requires taking the head apart though. make a vid of you trying to fire it up. ill see if i hear anything and let you know.

  • @earthwingnewsletter okay sounds good, actually we think it's the electrical or we're hoping it is aha. We bought a Module - IGN control, and a relay. We crank i over and it try's starting but I don't think it's getting much spark. thanks man.
