Awesome setup. After seeing your video I'm glad that I decided to pick up the overhead crane kit.. Adds an extra sense of realism to the scene. Now I just need to wait the 3 days for it to arrive before I can finish building my diesel house :(
@TransamJc Well, I think brick buildings like Walthers Railroad Shop, Car Shop and similar are a good choice for the diesel transition era. Maybe you kitbash one or more of these buildings to give them a more prototype look.

@trackspike64 Hi, you´ve take a look at ebay? There are some offers for arnold positioning switches from german sellers! How many tracks are connected with your turntable? Maybe you can use reedswitches for indexing? Will think about your problem!

Hi, no I haven't pictures or a video from my complete diesel shop at this time. Next week I had time and space to show my diesel shop at "Modellbau Messe Wien". Then I can make pictures and videos from my layout.
@signalman71 As I began building my diesel shop, I didn´t thought about making a "how to build my diesel shop" video. For the next part of this serie I think about making a video. So, let´s see ...
wow great diesel shop, i'm also planning to buy that walthers transfer and build a similar layout to display my locos as i only have a space for 18in by 6 ft.
@nilmadic: Yes, the diesel house kit comes with the inspection pits. I added LED-stripes under the working platforms for lighting the inspection pits.

I am planning to model the Pennsylvania during diesel transition. Do you know a good diesel shed that might work?

CommanderCodarino 3 months ago
@CommanderCodarino Hi, the kits are from Walthers!

I just started modeling and had a question: what kind of wood do you use that model building and what you as matriaal for windows
inbever 3 months ago
@inbever I use 10mm and 15mm plywood for the modules. The buildings are plastic kits, the window glazing is plastic too which comes with the kit.
challenger3999 3 months ago
Each module is 3-1/2 feet wide and 2 feet long. All three modules together are 3-1/2 feet wide and 6 feet long.
challenger3999 3 months ago
Is it 3 1/2 feet wide or long?

did u just take the wall out in between the two diesel sheds so it holds six engines
guner39207 6 months ago
@guner39207 I didn´t take out the wall between the two diesel sheds. I glued them together to give the diesel shed more strength.
