  • Awesome setup. After seeing your video I'm glad that I decided to pick up the overhead crane kit.. Adds an extra sense of realism to the scene. Now I just need to wait the 3 days for it to arrive before I can finish building my diesel house :(

  • Really nice! Great work!

  • I am planning to model the Pennsylvania during diesel transition. Do you know a good diesel shed that might work?

  • @TransamJc Well, I think brick buildings like Walthers Railroad Shop, Car Shop and similar are a good choice for the diesel transition era. Maybe you kitbash one or more of these buildings to give them a more prototype look.

  • Very nice

  • Neveer mind I saw Pt. 2 you can help me with what brands and items were used?

  • @cvgeeps Hi, The LED strips for interior lighting are from ESU. I found the SMD LED strips at an european electronic dealer.

  • Who makes the lighting sets for the diesel house interior they look very cool.

  • very cool layout

  • @pwalpar thanks for your comment!

  • what kits did u use to make the diesel shop?

  • @CommanderCodarino Hi, the kits are from Walthers!

  • That's awesome... Reminds me of Montana Rail Link's Livingston shops

  • I just started modeling and had a question: what kind of wood do you use that model building and what you as matriaal for windows

  • @inbever I use 10mm and 15mm plywood for the modules. The buildings are plastic kits, the window glazing is plastic too which comes with the kit.

  • Each module is 3-1/2 feet wide and 2 feet long. All three modules together are 3-1/2 feet wide and 6 feet long.

  • Is it 3 1/2 feet wide or long?

  • Sexolento......Extra Ordinary Measures Great Video & Super Shop Model 5 pickles

  • Hi, no I haven't pictures or a video from my complete diesel shop at this time. Next week I had time and space to show my diesel shop at "Modellbau Messe Wien". Then I can make pictures and videos from my layout.

  • That was excellent!!! Do you have a picture or video of it completed and operating?

  • Extreme Perfection!!! What's the Penguin's name??

  • @Theandymano Thank you!! The Penguin is a King Penguin. Should we name him Ralph?:-)

  • Extreme Perfection!!! What's the Penguin's name??

  • the buildings are kits from Walthers, a little scratch building was necessary to fit the kits together

  • dude!... fantastic job man is this a kit one can get or is it a custom one you scratch built?

  • ....now THAT is cool!

  • i love that engine alot and i never could find the name of it THANKS!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • at 2:29 what is the name of the engine in the middle - the blue one-

  • @guner39207 that´s an UP heritage fleet SD70ACe in Missourri Pacific colors

  • did u just take the wall out in between the two diesel sheds so it holds six engines

  • @guner39207 I didn´t take out the wall between the two diesel sheds. I glued them together to give the diesel shed more strength.

  • Great job! The detail on the inside looks just like it was real!

  • @Hobbydude1000 thanks for your comment!

  • where or who did you get the LED strips from for the lights?

    Nice vid and thanks.

  • @jordanrctm Hi! The LED strips for interior lighting are from ESU. The SMD LED strips are from a european electronic dealer.

  • Thanks for the reply. Look forward for your next update.

  • Awesome diesel shop module. Have you thought about doing a video showing how you build your diesel shop.

  • @signalman71 As I began building my diesel shop, I didn´t thought about making a "how to build my diesel shop" video. For the next part of this serie I think about making a video. So, let´s see ...

  • wow great diesel shop, i'm also planning to buy that walthers transfer and build a similar layout to display my locos as i only have a space for 18in by 6 ft.

  • @ewsdneax61eaxe10 Thanks for your comment. I uploaded a special video what I´ve done to run my transfer table perfectly!

  • WOW! Awesome diesel facility! did the diesel house kit come with the inspection pits? It looks great! The weathering is awesome! Nice work.

  • @nilmadic: Yes, the diesel house kit comes with the inspection pits. I added LED-stripes under the working platforms for lighting the inspection pits.
