Guys relax, no one is abandoning the island. There are more dams in Cyprus that hold water through out the year. I was there last summer. Waterparks are fully operating and people have lots of water to drink, wash their cars in the back yard, put off big fires and so on.... They're just victims of a global change. It's no different for any other country. I say change because i think global warming hypothesis is a load. Go to the Nasa website and search for warming planets. Other planets, not just our own are warming up. Sadly the only explanation to this is that the sun is heating up the planet. Guys relax, no one is abandoning the island. There are more dams in Cyprus that hold water through out the year. I was there last summer. Waterparks are fully operating and people have lots of water to drink, wash their cars in the back yard, put off big fires and so on.... Its just another way for politicial to pumb money out of Cyprus economy. Relax

dude, it's not about the status of the country. Any country faces different difficulties. USA had water problems in texas and San Diego, but it's not a 3rd world country. It only depends on the place where country is situated. Cyprus's got a hot climate, so it's only natural that it has problems with water.

lol guys im in cyprus atm and there is water here. the water is either imported from greece, or they make their own. atm they r getting water from the ocean, but there is a small problem with the pipes and are workign on it. atm there r tank ship thingies all over the sea at cyprus, but there is enuf space for jetskis, still making a good vacation spot. but i think i broke my ass from all the waves from the jet skis lol

I no longer live in UK. I am not a racist, but one thing I do know, most British people are. I left Britain for that exact reason, cus I couldn't take it anymore...you see, in the UK, people like me get told to fuck off home. That's what I did. And that makes me a cheeky cunt now aswell? The problem occured during the presidency of Tassos Papadopoulos when he decided to cancel the desalination plant for Limassol. The only area of cyprus with a problem is Limassol! The water that they are bringing in is for Limassol alone!

Go to the Nasa website and search for warming planets. Other planets, not just our own are warming up. Sadly the only explanation to this is that the sun is heating up the planet.
