Charged by a tiger/tigress is something that hardly ever happens!!! Believe me, I've spent time in the wild for long enough to be able to tell u this. Maybe u provoked her or invaded her space in some way - in which case she's got every right to do what u say she did. What I'd ask of u is to be slightly more conscious of what u r doing and whr u r treading as am sure u wldn't want to be disturbed during dinner!!! Cheers and God bless...
Thanks for your post. Actually you should look at 'Charged by a Tigress part 1 ' as with that video I go into a lot more detail ....it was a case of me carefully checking out a Tigress's kill (a dead buffalo found and scavenged by the tiger) but then making the basic mistake of thinking the tigress had moved off !Incidentally I have many years experience of exploring tiger habitat and wouldnt advise anyone getting close to any 'big cat' unless one knows how to react in an emwergency..... John.
It is pretty safe to walk around jungles as long as you know some basic rules(as you say the locals go there every day). As far as checking up on a 'Tiger kill, goes, yes you should be very careful and shouldnt do it unless you have considerable experience with Tigers and the confidence to go with it ! Also you must know how to react in an emergency ....

i find these videos very interesting. Just how dangerous is it to walk about like that? Presumuably the locals are all doing it?
To me actively investigating a tiger kill seems like lunacy,,,
