this video was shown in the international invitational presentation in seoul by Blizzard which was in 2007! its been over a year since blizzard has had starcraft almost ready!

they are just delaying it as a marketing trick!

at the same time EA is releasing Red Alert 3 this October, and they have made it public some time now and enabled pre-ordering, so most of the RTS gamers will go there and if SC2 was to be released now it would get less sales than if they wait untill/after christmas

Blizz said that most of them r working on a "next gen MMO" and they said it will NOT be a new World of Warcraft. This new MMO will likely be Diablo III. I estimate that Starcraft 2 will be out in winter 2008, just my guess, its not confirmed when it'll be released yet. still...bummer :(

I don't really give a damn if you like SC, hell, I enjoyed SC when it came out, and I anticipated a sequel, but then Blizz found more of a cashcow in WC and left us waiting, teasing us with "SC Ghost" and then leaving us dry. Now they finally produce a sequel which looks exactly like SC but with updated graphics and a few new units.

What pisses me off is not that you enjoy a good game, it's that you'll eat up anything Blizzard will shit out.

I know they've produced more, I was exaggerating. The point is that the bulk of their games are just rehashes of one title, whether sports games (Madden, Soccer w/e), The Sims (the list is too long), MoH, or C&C (which took from WestWood and then dissolved, the assholes).

This problem isn't restricted to Blizzard and EA, many publishers don't want to test new ideas, new concepts, new interfaces, they just want to produce what is immediately profitable.

I do agree that they are rehashing but that will always be the case because gamers don't typically like to step too far out of bounds. Right now a game costs about 50$ US and that's like charging 20$+ for a music CD. It just leads to more pirating and less exploration. If I'm going to buy a game these days, it's going to be one that I know I'll like. I've enjoyed everything Blizzard has done, sorry that offends you. How did you know that I liked FO? I love the series, and to be honest I didn't find FO2 to be as much fun, but it came out within a year from the release of FO1. My point is that Blizz had nearly a decade to make SC2 and only produced this.

Because Starcraft1 is still a huge market in Korea, live battles on TV each day 9 years after the game was released. They cant just take SC1 away and give them some shitty 3D ripoff. That didn't look too phenomenal compared to what's already released. C&C3 looks just like this. Plus, where's the blazing-fast gameplay?? The thing I truly hated about WC3 was that units had too much health, and the fighting - as well as C&C3 + Generals felt way too sluggish, kind of like what is shown in this gameplay trailer. SC is supposed to have a low health concept, with lightning speed action. I got a bad feeling this will not live up to its hype, I hope I'm proven wrong.

What i've also read Bliz is going to take down the Starcraft 1 online system.
