@FRAGIORGIO1 I was watching on a documentary on Russian street children and they talked about homes that they have for the children, but the trouble is in the homes the other children are violent so most don't want to live there for fear of their lives. There are people who do try and help though.

Children are a blessing from God, a sacred trust. My heart aches for these lost little ones. I am going to bring this to my family, friends, church members, and anyone else that may be able to help. I can't even imagine how badly it traumatizes these kids. God will deal with those that harm His little ones. When I see things like this I know Satan never rests. He never stops. The stories are very dramatic. If I're younger and healthier, I'd go as a volunteer myself. I love them. I don't want them to suffer like that. I'm worried about their future. I'd pray to all people of good will to offer them more effective assistance for their brighter future, that will reflect to us as well. Good deeds endure forever. What we give them today, we'll get it back tomorrow. We help them is equal to we help ourselves. I pray for them to Heaven above, that It'll not forget them.

I'm lucky to live in Canada and I have never seen a homeless child where I live. It's shocking to watch people walking by and doing nothing, but I suppose it's the same as here walking by a homeless adult...
You don't need to go far to see this. It is very common in some latin american countries. I've witnessed this myself. Some are unwanted pregnancies, sons or daughters of prostitutes or drug addicts, some are left behind cuz their mom ran off with some dude, others are the kids of people that died because of war or aids or whatever. Whatever the reason does not EXCUSE or justify any government not taking care of these kids
you are right - the problem is everywhere. i live in the states, and i see homeless kids - they sell candy for "school" but then if you watch them, there is always a homeless adult they bring the money to.
government taking them by force in homeless shelters doesn't work. kids need love and attention, not force and abuse. they simply run away from those shelters as would you in the same situation. and by exposing them to the ugly side of institutionalized care, you turn them off for good to ANY foster system. That is the worst thing you can do.
in my experience, very often kids, GOOD kids become homeless first of no fault of their own, and then go on drugs. They go on drugs because the reaility of being homeless is too harsh to withstand sober.
!NEVER donate money. You don't have ANY idea where the money goes as soon as you click that button. Like most of the western donations to africa went for military purposes, which further destabilise the third world. It's the same deal all around the world, with every donation i have ever witnessed- atleast a part of the money disappears. Reporters cover that- but there's nothing they can do.

Yet, instead of believing me there is a much better way - go there and donate your time first. Then, you will be sure it is real and can donate money later.
the movie was shot in 2002-2003. these kids, if any of them are alive today would be around 18 yo and most were born right when USSR was collapsing and right after 90-93. Not surprisingly, the homeless kid problem is better in Russia today - that generation either grew up or died.

we do not ignore these kids, and we have a lot of orphanages here. I was raised in one of them. The main problem is not money or food, the main problem is social work. I saw 100s of kids which were cought on the streets and brought to orphanage, but they run away in 1-2 months normally. Good and professional social workers and psychologists, this is what Russia needs to help these kids.

Same story here. I was born in the Soviet union and was lucky enough to be raised in the U.S. I still think of them as my people and it bothers me when I see that stuff. I'm proud of who I am, but too many russians turn there backs on those children. There's alot of beauty in the Russian culture, but sometimes even more corruption.

Hravn, I lived in St. Pete for 10 years and started an organization called "Heart Cry" we took care of thousands of these kids through the years, got some into fostercare and got some into orphanges, we fed them, clothed them and loved them. USSR was a secret society, where everybody worshipped Lenin. No freedom of speech, no free travel, no outside news, horrific medical care. Everybody spied on everybody else. Very long lines for food. Acute shortage of everything. Some people waited in line 30 years for a car.
America did USSR a favor by setting it free from communist bondage. Every free society goes through what Russia is going through today. Gradually, things will get better.

Russia still hasn't, not even today reached the same standard of living which they had before the collapse = Russia is way poorer today than during the Union. The crime rates were way way WAY lower during the Soviet Union. People had apartments, houses, clothes, food, work was guaranteed. There wasn't really that much of an incentive to steal.
There's a lot of neat books out there about the Soviet Union, you should pick some up. The reality often differs from what we get to hear in the west.

Children are a blessing from God, a sacred trust. My heart aches for these lost little ones. I am going to bring this to my family, friends, church members, and anyone else that may be able to help. I can't even imagine how badly it traumatizes these kids. God will deal with those that harm His little ones. When I see things like this I know Satan never rests. He never stops. This is not a problem only in Russia. Some of the riches countries in the world have the same conditions. Who do we blame? Where can we turn to for the answers? The poor helping the poor is usually how it works because the rich don't really give a damn. Government turns a blind eye and the poor suffer. It's criminal and they should help. The Russian government of today seems to be following the dream of hegemony and power. Instead of taking care of those children they spend money on arms.
That is the difference between west and east - the only homeless in Toronto are run away kids from rich families and they are over 18 so it is most likely their choice.

The stories are very dramatic. If I're younger and healthier, I'd go as a volunteer myself. I love them. I don't want them to suffer like that. I'm worried about their future. I'd pray to all people of good will to offer them more effective assistance for their brighter future, that will reflect to us as well. Good deeds endure forever. You don't need to go far to see this. It is very common in some latin american countries. I've witnessed this myself. Some are unwanted pregnancies, sons or daughters of prostitutes or drug addicts, some are left behind cuz their mom ran off with some dude, others are the kids of people that died because of war or aids or whatever. Whatever the reason does not EXCUSE or justify any government not taking care of these kids

government taking them by force in homeless shelters doesn't work. kids need love and attention, not force and abuse. they simply run away from those shelters as would you in the same situation. and by exposing them to the ugly side of institutionalized care, you turn them off for good to ANY foster system. in my experience, very often kids, GOOD kids become homeless first of no fault of their own, and then go on drugs. They go on drugs because the reaility of being homeless is too harsh to withstand sober.

!NEVER donate money. You don't have ANY idea where the money goes as soon as you click that button. Like most of the western donations to africa went for military purposes, which further destabilise the third world. It's the same deal all around the world, with every donation i have ever witnessed- atleast a part of the money disappears. Reporters cover that- but there's nothing they can do.

Yet, instead of believing me there is a much better way - go there and donate your time first. Then, you will be sure it is real and can donate money later.

the movie was shot in 2002-2003. these kids, if any of them are alive today would be around 18 yo and most were born right when USSR was collapsing and right after 90-93. Not surprisingly, the homeless kid problem is better in Russia today - that generation either grew up or died.

The children won't go to government run orphanages because they are abused there and given psychiatric medications and other experimental medications. Go do your research and see I am right. In USA 2 thirds of the children under state care are under a cocktail of psychiatric medications even though they are not mentally ill. we do not ignore these kids, and we have a lot of orphanages here. I was raised in one of them. The main problem is not money or food, the main problem is social work. I saw 100s of kids which were cought on the streets and brought to orphanage, but they run away in 1-2 months normally. Good and professional social workers and psychologists, this is what Russia needs to help these kids.

Same story here. I was born in the Soviet union and was lucky enough to be raised in the U.S. I still think of them as my people and it bothers me when I see that stuff. I'm proud of who I am, but too many russians turn there backs on those children. There's alot of beauty in the Russian culture, but sometimes even more corruption.

Hravn, I lived in St. Pete for 10 years and started an organization called "Heart Cry" we took care of thousands of these kids through the years, got some into fostercare and got some into orphanges, we fed them, clothed them and loved them. The organization is still in existance. Thanks for your video it tells it like it is. (And I have stories that are even more shocking) Thank you for what nyou are doing.

USSR was a secret society, where everybody worshipped Lenin. No freedom of speech, no free travel, no outside news, horrific medical care. Everybody spied on everybody else. Very long lines for food. Acute shortage of everything. Some people waited in line 30 years for a car.
America did USSR a favor by setting it free from communist bondage. Every free society goes through what Russia is going through today. Gradually, things will get better.

Russia still hasn't, not even today reached the same standard of living which they had before the collapse = Russia is way poorer today than during the Union. The crime rates were way way WAY lower during the Soviet Union. People had apartments, houses, clothes, food, work was guaranteed. There wasn't really that much of an incentive to steal.
There's a lot of neat books out there about the Soviet Union, you should pick some up. The reality often differs from what we get to hear in the west.
