for me, THIS scene was the beginning of the true Delena story. Just in that 2 minutes dances they have developped an undeniable chemistry and love that she can't control <3 Thank god she finaly realized that she does love him !! ^_^ But now they have to be together ! Even though it's up to season 2, i still watch this episode like all the time.

Season 2 is great because Damon tells Elena he loves her...but Season 2 is crap because Damon is holding Elena's vervaine necklace and compells her afterwards. Sigh.

I'm glad the writers chose to have Elena end up doing the dance with Damon because if it was Stefan I think the scene may have been more comedic...not really comedic, but I don't know how else to describe it properly. Stefan and Elena would've been like all smiley and and joking around and stuff (although they had a fight), but with Damon/Elena, they're passionately enjoying the dance and you can tell they both feel something as they explore each other's eyes making the scene nicely dramatic. :D
