ok. right i have one of these that only needs a engine. i have collected all the parts to put it together piece by piece but im not a skilled builder. either i need help to build this model or i might sell it. any surjestions?
Just a question: I'm going to build the 71" span YT Sea Fury and I'm gonna provide it ample power: a 2-stroke Irvine 150. Could anyone please tell me which prop could be more suitable for speed: the 16 X 8 3-blade Master, or the 18 X 8 2-blader?
very nice, the wind mills in the back ground look very close?IM SURE IT JUST LOOKS THAT WAY ON THE VID.YOUR SPIT FIRE IS AWSOME,THE ENGINE PULLS IT WITH AUTHORITY, WOW!!!
i have a smaller spitfire with a span of around 5 foot which is almost complete and due to have its first flight soon, im hoping it wont crash and burn but videos will be put up whatever happens :)
That's an AWESOME Spit!!! I have the 2.02 metre Mick Reeves Hurricane and it also flies beautifully!!! Congratulations, GREAT work and nice flying RonaldKunenborg!!!
Unfortunately no, I do not have any because the Hurricane has been flown only twice-and I do not feel very comfortable because the aircraft is overpowered-the designer states that the engine should be from .61 to .91(max), and I've fitted an Irvine 1.20, so the Hurricane really flies at about 120-130 mph!!! I will try to tell a very good friend to record a 5-minute video, and if succesful, I'll upload within 5-10 days!!
What kind of camera were you using???

Beautiful model, just one comment, slow down those retracts they are far to quick in operation. Oh and watch the wind generators

Fantastic work, Ronald! Can you recommend any beginners modeling or flight clubs near Amsterdam? Thanks.

Try google: modelvliegclub amsterdam. Spaarnwoude is ok.

I don't think so. This is an exact scale spit.
RonaldKunenborg 2 years ago
Is it true that if you scale down the exact Spitfire, it won't fly, without tweaking the plans slightly?
NICKOFAN 2 years ago
its not true

Can you tell me how much elevator throw you have up and down please. How do you minimise the over controll with the elevator?
keithrussell 2 years ago
Hi Keith,
The elevator has about 6cm up and 3cm down throw. Just use a lot of expo on the elevator. You really need a lot of up throw with taxing.

Super, thanks for that.

Bit better than my Parkzone Spitfire Mk11B :)
Pity no-one makes a tiny V12 Merlin then you'd be really hard pressed to tell the difference from a real one!

Very nice spitfire and great flying. Thanks for sharing your handiwork.

ahh fantastic, thanks for that, im not so worried now lol, just got to get the courage to fly it.
Many thanks again and a great vid.

Hi Andy,
It flies super! No stall at all. You can really come in very slow especially with the flaps.
In this video i land at high speed.
