@luyben12 Oh, I didn't know, but I'm glad to hear you and your father are actually doing quite well. You're right, I have been through some rough times, but I keep my chin up and I love helping other people. Thank you and have a good one yourself. :)
@luyben12 Just remember that eventually you will be able to move out on your own, away from him. Also never blame yourself. Remember that most of the time it's just his condition that makes him mad at you. I would suggest going on a forum with people who've been in similar situations and talk to them. Consider it a safe haven for you to express your problems and worries without scrutiny, just pure understanding... since they've been through similar situations.
People that believe this crap have been brainwashed. Hubbard was a con man laughing all the way to the bank. And believe me, if you don't have money, then Scientology has no use for you.
Apparently, Hubbard hated his first name "Lafayette" --out of respect, we are not to use that name??.--- BS!! I got no respect for theprick. So for me, I refer to him as lafayette.
this guy tends to believe too much into judgment of a human construct -psychology which is rather a study of thought than the process of thinking itself. As john said himself-he fell for it.
scientology was the result of a wager between l. ron hubbard and philip k. dick about who could create the most successful religion. philip k. dick made up his beam of pink light, and hubbard made scientology.
That's what a family is supposed to do for you. Parents, committed to each other, and the extended family, giving unconditional love to their offspring, their own flesh and blood. This cult is a result of the breakdown of the family. I think God, who insists on the family knows what He's about, but, we don't listen, we think we know better, don't we?
Chances are, if you are human you will have some "urges" to belong to a group, family, or tribe. If your group is extremely dogmatic, belief dense, or hierarchal, you will start to shut down your mind and develope loyalties to status lies. It always works the same way. You could end up being a smart person who plays a stupid semi competive game of hierarchy. This means you will become a debilitated follower or a debilitated leader like GW. There is a hierarchal type famous for onboard stupid.
The hierarchical mind is a mind of believing with some gaming intelligence. It is almost completely dependent on rules dogma and following rules and repeating beliefs. Hierarchal will enevitably ten toward psychotic status considerations or sociopathology. It is not easy to see that, until you cannot stand it no more, Given a choice between believing and thinking the more social choice is believing and doing what you are told. Thinking then becomes taboo or illegal. Forget belonging!
Lafayette Ronald Hubbard claimed that Dianetics® was a "science," and that he had "researched" the book for decades before writing it. Neither claim is true. The book's "case studies" were made up by Hubbard over the span of a few weeks--- all the results of Hubbard's imagination. Lafayette Ronald Hubbard insisted that Scientology® is a "science" and not a religion.
@jnycnuk 1. Dianetics is a science and Hubbard did research the book before writing it.
2. The imagination is a very great resource that Einstein claimed to be more important than knowledge. 3.Hubbard didn't like his first name which I advise you not to use out of respect.
1. Dianetic can not be the result of a legitimate research. Your buddy Tommy Davis admitted the instrument you use during "auditing" was not submitted to any proper scientific testing. 2. Imagination is a knowledge when it is not used in order to steal people's money. 3. Lafayette, Lafayette, Lafayette is and remains his grossing name. 4. Scientology is a cult that has nothing to do with a religion. Now, you and your Hubbard's little fanatic club can try to block my account.
@MalyshevEvgeniy Imagination without knowledge is just a piece of garbage and Scientology was created by a Con man to make money, name ONE poor person in the "Church" of scientology. They only want people with money who can be brain washed and can pay to move up into the hierarchy.
this guy is just trying to scam scientology no better than scientology does.

@luyben12 Being the child of a bi-polar father you really don't - you deal with the aftereffects.

Hubbard is dead. His spirit is being tormented by his choices in life - deceiving God's children into believing that God does not exist.

Scientology fits every principle of a cult. Pure and simple... it's a cult meant to part a fool and his money.

getting anyone to buy a product:
state a problem the mark can identify with
exaggerate the eventual effects of said problem to induce accute paranoia
convince the mark that purchasing your product is the only way to stave off the negative effects described in stage two.
works in deodorant commercials and scientology scams equally well.
