This video is correct. I have been studying this in the Qur'an and other Islamic texts. Islam has the same firmament and waters. According to the Qur'an, the Earth is a "couch" and the sky a "canopy". The Sun has a literal setting place (36: 38) and a man actually reached this exact setting place (18: 86) and found the Sun going into a muddy spring. Allah says a man found the setting place! The Qur'an also says the Sun SWIMS (21:33) in its own course like the moon. It is a very geocentric view.
Nice try. Howver Genesis 1 creation account conflicts with the order of events that are known to science. Genesis 1:1 The earth is created before light and stars, birds and whales before reptiles and insects, and flowering plants before any animals. From science, we know that the true order of events was just the opposite.

Also Japanese scientists in the 1980s tested such conditions on a cherry tomato plant. Now a normal plant of its kind would live 5 months + and yield if well, 100 cherry tomatos. Under Genesis conditioning, the plant grew 3 1/2 stories tall in a warehouse. Lived for 2 1/2 + years. Yeilding 15,000 cherry tomatoes.
Modern science get their ideas from Genesis - or something similar that says the same thing. Folks just do not realize the scientific aspects of Genesis. So they think Green Houses, DNA, Genetics, Stem Cells, Aerodynamics, Space Flight are all new and recent ideas!

Many Christian Scholars study the original texts but they never detach what they discover from their own doctrines (e.g. God, Heaven, Earth, Man). They somehow manage to merge the two.

Not so ChurchBandit, you are missing half of the Hebrew since you are using a concordance and not the Hebrew text itself. Near the end you say "and it was so" is only in the English version. It is in the Hebrew, it is ויהי כן (vai'hiy keyn). You seem to change, add or remove words from the Hebrew text at your discretion.
Does the words "And it was so" really make that big a difference?
Once again, the Novice Researcher cannot read Hebrew - but THEY CAN look things up in a Concordance, Lexicon, Dictionary, etc. You can quote what the actual text says all day long but in the end - Novice's just have to TAKE YOUR WORD for the translation - don't they? And from what I've seen so far - you can stand a Refresher Course.

You claim that the phrase "Let there be a firmament" is from a "single" Hebrew word, "raqiya" (firmament). You also claim that your source is the Hebrew text, but it is very clear your source is not the Hebrew text as the Hebrew for this is two Hebrew words,יהי רקיע (yehiy raqiya) meaning "A raqiya will exist." Also, "and let it divide" is not the one word "badal" it is two words - ויהי מבדיל (vai'hiy mav'diyl) meaning "and he will divide."
As someone from a Jewish backround, who was educated in a Jewish/Hebrew speaking school, I've always been fasicnated that there were all these people picking apart the Tnk, quoting Hebrew words, when in fact they can't even speak basic Hebrew or read an elementry text;)

The rain did not fall from rainy skies, there was no rain before the flood. The bible is clear about this. What caused the rain was a shield of Ice above the earth which was struck by an asteroid/bolide(ice becomes slightly magnetic when frozen). This shield kept radiation from penetrating the earth, therefore no genetic diseases and no death. When the bolide hit it fell and now we have death. Animal humans and plants also grew much larger then because they were genetically perfect.

I'm thinking the Firmament was more of a DOME or CANOPE with a hollow center that stored enough of THE WATERS (Gen.1:2) that covered the Earth so that the Dry Land appeared. Like the Vid suggests.

This all reminds me of an episode of "Star Trek Voyager" I recently saw (Season 5: 30 Days). Voyager encounters a planet whose atmosphere is entirely water. There was no dry land (like your vid says). But unlike earth, this planet had inhabitants who lived deep beneath the surface. Genesis is apparently going Sci-Fi!

A National Geographic News article by Ben Harder dated March 7, 2002 states that there is **FIVE TIMES MORE WATER** deep in the earth's interior (underground) than there is on the surface. So ""THIS PLANET"" is ""MORE WATER"" than anything!!! It's not farfetched to believe there was once a time when ""DRYLAND"" didn't exist at all.

A "hoax" in my mind, is a common conclusion turned doctrine that multitudes accept as fact w/o question.

To me this simply means:
God fashioned the The Heavens to divide the waters which were under The Heavens from the waters which were throughout The Heavens.
Simplified: Earth water was separated from Heaven water.
Meaning to me there was waters on the earth and waters in The Heavens which was broken at the time of Noah.

Novices don't have to take MY WORD for anything - which is why I directed them to DOCUMENTED FACTS they can lookup themselves. There are no biblical Concordances, Lexicons or Dictionaries for the actual Hebrew Text, written in the Scriptures.
You either know the language or you don't! My assumption is the average Viewer on YouTube - don't!

My Source is THE HEBREW TEXT. But I can't talk to the average Tuber as if THEY CAN READ DIRECT HEBREW. If I have a Reference choice, it would be the STRONG'S CONCORDANCE. Altho, I've found a mistake or two in it.

You claim that the phrase "Let there be a firmament" is from a "single" Hebrew word, "raqiya" (firmament). You also claim that your source is the Hebrew text, but it is very clear your source is not the Hebrew text as the Hebrew for this is two Hebrew words,יהי רקיע (yehiy raqiya) meaning "A raqiya will exist." Also, "and let it divide" is not the one word "badal" it is two words - ויהי מבדיל (vai'hiy mav'diyl) meaning "and he will divide."

As someone from a Jewish backround, who was educated in a Jewish/Hebrew speaking school, I've always been fasicnated that there were all these people picking apart the Tnk, quoting Hebrew words, when in fact they can't even speak basic Hebrew or read an elementry text;)

So far he's been spot on about this, I already knew a lilttle bit of these things. I'm not to sure about the female voice thing, It sounds Blasphemous, but I'm am very fascinated by this. This "IS" what happened, and the geological evidence proves it. A bolide hit what you might call Pangaea around Africa (the firmament placed in the Midst's of the water) releasing water from above and below causing a flood on the earth while also causing the continents to "SLIDE" under the water when they came to rest they pushed "UP OUT OF THE WATER" prolly more than a year later. Dividing the waters from the waters is the description of an "ISLAND"

And by the way, so you can really get a grasp of what was said, the "HEAVENS" refer to both the earth, which God referred to as the second "heaven" (or whatever), in another book of the bible and where God is ...when he stated Satan and him minions inhabit the space "between" the "HEAVENS". Remember the statement in revelations "the first heaven and earth had passed away". Your understanding of scripture is elementary at best friend. Remember what God said about changing his word???? The rain did not fall from rainy skies, there was no rain before the flood. The bible is clear about this. What caused the rain was a shield of Ice above the earth which was struck by an asteroid/bolide(ice becomes slightly magnetic when frozen). This shield kept radiation from penetrating the earth, therefore no genetic diseases and no death. When the bolide hit it fell and now we have death. Animal humans and plants also grew much larger then because they were genetically perfect.

There is nothing wrong with what was translated, it fits the physical evidence and Gods word perfectly as long as you're talking to the right people/christians.

"Hebrews" did not exist during the time "The Firmament" existed - they came along 1000s of yrs later. By then, RAIN was no different then it is today - it fell frm Cloudy Skies.
How hard is it for anybody (including Hebrews) to comprehend STORM CLOUDS? IT IS NOT a GREAT MYSTERY. ♣

simply put, the firmament was a giant ice bubble held in the sky by crystal pillars. its purpose was to reflect harmful radiation and stabilize the earth's atmosphere. those who lived under it, have lived unreal life-spans. how do i know this?

I'm thinking the Firmament was more of a DOME or CANOPE with a hollow center that stored enough of THE WATERS (Gen.1:2) that covered the Earth so that the Dry Land appeared. Like the Vid suggests.
I'm not sure what material the Firmament was made from but I do agree with the LITERAL "Pillars of Heaven" that held the thing up!

Well, that WOULD be an accurate summation of, oh, say, Alexander Campbell and his United Churches of Christ, because they're strictly Sola Scriptura. They make it very plain that God DOES NOT speak to men anymore, and has not since Revelation 22:21.
(And how would Campbell or anyone else KNOW that God agreed that he FINALLY got it right? GOD DOESN'T TALK TO PEOPLE ANYMORE!!)

The LDS, on the other hand, believe in continuing revelation. So, IF they are right, they at least have a viable REASON to be: God TOLD them, rather than them just "finally getting it right."
They and similar sects should be grouped separately from Protestantism, since, unlike the Protestants, they didn't break away from any existing sect.
They form a third branch of Christianity: the Restorationists.

The LDS were the first, but are not the only members of this branch. Other Restorationists include the Watchtower Society (Jehovah's Witnesses), the Worldwide Church of God (Herbert W. Armstrong, "Plain Truth" magazine), and many more.

But let me clarify, t/word "ZOHAR (i.e. a solid shining object)" was used n/conjunction w/THE FIRMAMENT (a solid expanse). Ancient Hebrew used a completely different word, "NOGAHH," when referring 2 something "ABSTRACT (e.g. bright light; shining splendor)." So based on t/word they used they LITERALLY described t/Firmament as SOMETHING SOLID.

The Firmament was understood by the Hebrews of Moses's time as a FIRM (thus the name) DOME (not sphere, as the Bible strongly implies repeatedly that the Earth is flat). Above it was LIQUID WATER in vast quantities. Rain was just that water leaking through holes, or "windows" — clouds only existed to block our view through the windows. The Sun and Moon were EMBEDDED ("set") in this dome, and thus were the same distance from us, and therefore about the same size.

The Firmament was, quite simply, the SKY as a PHYSICAL OBJECT. "Heaven" as in "the heavens" and "heavenly bodies," NOT as in "where God lives" (they thought He lived on Mount Sinai until much later in the Bible).
None of this, of course, matches up with reality.

no... there WAS no rain. that's why NOONE beleived noah. there had NEVER been ANY rain. the plants and animals and streams were all fed by a huge mist that rose every night. similar to now, but on a BIGGER scale.

Right. The "windows of heaven" (holes in the Firmament) are not mentioned as being opened until the Flood. Until then, no rain. Just mist from the ground.
That still doesn't change the fact that that's where the ancient Hebrews believed rain came from. They had no idea about the water cycle.
Note that this belief is maintained up to and including Revelation, where the Two Witnesses are given power to SHUT HEAVEN "that it not rain during the days of their prophecy."

In case you did not notice, the Video applies this same description & definition of The Firmament. That is, WITHOUT PRIVATE SPECULATION. Do you mean Daniel 12:3? The verse does not state what you claim it does. Be that as it may, Daniel 12:3 confirms that The Firmament (solid expanse) did LUMINATE.

This all reminds me of an episode of "Star Trek Voyager" I recently saw (Season 5: 30 Days). Voyager encounters a planet whose atmosphere is entirely water. There was no dry land (like your vid says). But unlike earth, this planet had inhabitants who lived deep beneath the surface. Genesis is apparently going Sci-Fi!

It is commonly agreed among Scholars that t/<b>Firmament</b> was visible just by looking up & it had support beams (i.e. pillars of heaven) that were also noticeable. I personally would imagine their agenda was 2 reach t/<b>Firmament</b> (i.e. a solid expanse).
But what I have always found interesting n this story is t/fact that the <b>LORDGod</b> <u>felt threatened</u> with t/<b>Tower of Babel</b> endeavor. ♣

A National Geographic News article by Ben Harder dated March 7, 2002 states that there is **FIVE TIMES MORE WATER** deep in the earth's interior (underground) than there is on the surface. So ""THIS PLANET"" is ""MORE WATER"" than anything!!! It's not farfetched to believe there was once a time when ""DRYLAND"" didn't exist at all.
