What gridlock in Washington? Until about a month ago the Dems had a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and a large majority in the House. The "gridlock" is from the American people who, overwhelmingly, don't like what Washington is doing. If Democrats ram health care through with reconciliation then they will be doing so at the expense of their jobs.

Elizabeth Hasselbeck completely owned Evan Bayh for making that cheap Sarah Palin comment. She deflated his whole pretentious "I'm above the partisanship" act.
Also, is it possible for Whoopi to open her mouth without idiocy oozing out? Her argument that Bayh "didn't do it" and was merely responding to Behar is absurd. Behar was clearly alluding to the idea that he sounds like Sarah Palin in quitting early, and he decided to make the completely irrelevant and viciously partisan hand attack.
Bayh was the kind of Senator who repeatedly sold his vote to his own party for special interest pork, and called it being a moderate. He's a parasite.
He's lying about being fed up with gridlock; this is where his kind thrives. He's leaving because he's got a money deal lined up, just like Palin did.
Evan Bayh could never be accused of being courageous. My bet is that he will get a seven figure salary lobbying the US Senate within the next 2-3 years.
