  • This would have been great in Kill Bill, unfortunately it was made 5 years prior

  • Do I hear a little bit of the ocean from led zeppelin or is it just me

  • Is that Ron Burgandy on the jazz flute lol

  • 2:11- 2:40 sounds a hell of a lot like a Zepplin song... and then there is a Jethro Tull outro haha

  • ron burgandy on the flute

  • @gobrowns913 Haha heck yeah

  • jazz flute is for little fairy boys ...and the keys

  • @Elnig4 I love anchorman

  • reminds me of jethro tull!

  • nice modal flute

  • i've been trying sooooooo hard to find the flute notes to the solos. bahhhh..... if ANYONE knows where to look pleeeeease help!!!!

  • They are like a garage rock version of Black Sabbath.

  • its like deep purple collaberated with ron burgandy

  • Sex music

  • black keys playlist.. ALL.NIGHT.LONG

  • Ron Burgundy on flute.

  • did ron burgundy feature in this..?

  • :D muito bomm !!!

  • Anybody have a link or something to the notes for the flute part? i've been asked to play it and can't seem to find it anywhere....

  • @zinazubird why does it matter if they smoke.. this song gets me every time

  • @USgovernmentLies I know

  • I'm trying to figure it out. DO they smoke weed? I wouldn't care because I LOVE THEM.

  • @zinazubird Who dont ease the mind n soul every now n then? ;)

  • no it does not.

  • this needs a mr.T rap in it

  • @theguitarguru98 NO IT DOES NOT

  • Ive heard the voice of God!!!!

  • Foookin' Rockin' !

  • This album should be more popular than Brothers. Its fucking amazing.

  • Why is Selena Gomez on the front of The Black Keys youtube mix?

  • I NEED TO LEARN THIS FLUTE PART. NOW.

  • I like how they slide back into a more relaxed beat after that second chorus

  • Halfway through the song, I realized, I was deep in conversation with a friend, but my whole body was totally rocking along to the song.

  • This is on Battlfield Vietnam! :D

  • @micah960

You're thinking of Jack Arel - Picture of Spring (Very hard to find recording)

But they're kind of similar, yeah.

  • This would be epic for the opening scene of a zombie apocalypse, helicopter filming (also having group of injured survivors w/ marines getting to gov't safehouse) from above, see damage movement and death from zombies, people getting chased killed, human retaliation, everything. One passenger infected brings down heli, hero emerges from wreckage, survive till safehouse

  • @NearlyMons you were definately high when you wrote this.

  • @NearlyMons stop talking and just enjoy this amazing song

  • Anyone who dislikes this song needs to dissapear.

  • If you want another good rock-flute song look up "a song for jeffrey" by Jethro Tull. its one of my favorite songs

  • i just found these guys and i love there music

  • Jethro Tull inspired rock can only be a good thing

  • Wolfmother

    The Black Keys

    Cage the Elephant

These bands should go on a "Survivors of the 21st Century Mess" world tour

  • @MegaAries1992 The Black Keys would still win hands down.

  • @MegaAries1992 Forget what i just said. I wasnt really paying attention to what you wrote.

  • @MegaAries1992 Yes Please.

  • @MegaAries1992 Except all Cage the Elephants songs sound exactly the same, and the singer jumps AND mumbles when he sings.

  • @CaptainTako7 false. and you try singing while moving around as much as he does. at least he doesnt stand there and stare at the floor.

  • @pesely I wouldn't say false, just from my experience. I'm not saying they're bad, just that their songs sound very similar. And also, I've seen people move and sing, and when he does it it ruins the sound. If he didn't jump it would be ALOT better.

  • @MegaAries1992 The White Stripes; always say thank you to the person who hold the door open for you :)

  • @MegaAries1992 Add Arctic Monkeys to that list and you'd be spot on

  • same old thing and psychotic girl seem to me like precursors to brothers. the flute and banjo on those tracks are genious.

  • As James Brown would say... "this muthafucker has got the ONE just muthafucking right"

(before going to score some angel dust, shoot his wife's coat, crash his car and get pulled out of the wreckage dancing to 'get on the good foot')

  • soooo like if jethro tull crashed into the black keys at the speed of sound and made this glorious noise.

  • Someone hit the nirvana button in here @_@ my ears have been made glorious sex to from this song, my head is spinning.

  • MSG TO YOUTUBE- GET A REPEAT BUTTON.

    that is all.

  • @smcmu1len there is. just add it to a playlist on your account

  • @smcmu1len...go up to the address bar, type the word repeat after youtube...your welcome

  • @smcmu1len your wish has been granted

  • the production values on this album are through the fucking roof.

put this shit in your headphones and turn it all the way up.

    orgasm.

  • @BigCM06 Couldn't agree more! One of the only bands that I have never stopped listening to. I usually go through phases and take breaks from my music and return to it later. But since Attack & Release I have listened to at least one song from the album just about every day since it's release. And now I've got the Brothers album in constant rotation.

  • Dude Jethro Tull are rock gods and If I were in a rock band and somebody said I sounded like them Id be like....fucking awesome

  • @aj5211 and that goes for soundin like zeppelin too

  • So, I'll assume everyone has heard the Jethro Tull and Led Zeppelin influence at 2:13 .... ;)

  • nice touch with the flute

  • The first thing I thought was it was sounding Jethro Tull. Great song though.

  • superb song. it does sound a bit jethro tullyey. i liked this band when they weren't really known that well, its nice to know people know when they hear good music, and torched the nickelback cd in the backyard

  • I am developing a major love for this band.

  • @ThePopsicleAddict yes they r one of my fav bands from this past decade, attack & release & rubber factory are great albums. im feeling the blues-rock.

  • reminds me of Robin Trower ....This album is Classic

  • @spaceboyrecords no no no .. . no where near Trower, this band is bad to the motha fukin ass. . . i just discovered them recently, but there aren't trower. . Trower is very unique w/ the tone he has.. . like in Bridge of Sighs. .that had the bitchinest tone i've ever heard

  • I love them soo much it makes me ill!

  • music you can feel - awesome!

  • JETHRO TULL! YES. Great influence for them to cull some kick ass music from

  • Like BK try: Left Lane Cruiser, DeepSeaGreen, The Fumes, Buffalo Killers, Heartless Bastards, Greenhornes, killer old time rock tunes right there.

  • i cant help tinkin of ron burgandy when i hear dat flute ha ha!!

  • @NeilGazzaGarry LMAO!!!!!!!!! RON BURGUNDY IS THE MAN!!!!!!!

  • hahaha i agree with nick all music is inspierd by others that how it has progressed 2 tunes this fucking sick look at zepplin half of there songs r covers from old blues

  • @leechdick agreed

  • fucking great song!!!!!!!! they Rock!!

  • awesome song :)

  • 2 peace!!! awesome!!!!

  • Humming and playing at the same time was made popular by Ian Anderson, but it wasn't something he started. James Moody and Yusef Lateef had both experimented with this and recorded it in the early sixties. If anything, this should be considered a compliment to Jethro Tull in that flute as a primary instrument in rock music lives on.

  • Amen, I love this shit. The flute sounds incredible!!

  • Saying they are stealing from Jethro Tull simply because they are using a flute is like saying every band with a drummer is stealing from Led Zeppelin. (not that led zeppelin was the first band that had a drummer, just picked a random influential drummer.)

  • @Lemonwalrus true also to back up your statement there's Rage Aainst the Machine and Eminem that based some of their songs upon the Kashmir guitar riff but that doesn't mean they copied them

  • @Lemonwalrus u are very correct. repsect for sure..... / fist pump

  • @Lemonwalrus

    Marshall Tucker Band>!

  • @Lemonwalrus yeah your right. Jethro Tull has a way different sound

  • I remember i heard someone complain that they used the flute and they "stole" the idea from jethro tull, and i remember getting very angry

  • Stole? Sounds more like influenced. Jethro Tull doesn't own the rights to be the only band to use a flute. The flute is what Jethro Tull is known for and the Black Keys must have been inspired by them to use the flute in their song.

  • I know thats pretty much what i said, but in a bit more upset tone.

  • WTF!! how is an instrument only allowed to be used ofr one band ???? every band i listen to has a drummer i dont say they all ripped off the drums form that first drummer thats completely absurd. what idiots.

  • Jethro Tull!!!!!!!!!!! Old music lives on in these few artists that are not main stream. Thank god.

  • A jazz flute song by an Alternative rock band. didn't see THAT one coming.

  • Mr.Ron Burgundy on JAZZ FLUTE~!!!!

  • I'm really not prepared for this.

  • @RickParaskevin hahaha good one!

  • @RickParaskevin Aqualang by Jethro Tull is the song you are thinking of

  • @RickParaskevin don't you mean Y-AZZ FLUTE? I believe it's pronounced with a soft J... :)

  • @RickParaskevin I have to give them props... when was the last time you can HONESTLY" say hey that is some kick ass jazz flute... I hope there is more later in the song, And then like champs they deliver in the end.

  • @RickParaskevin Its more like, "Mr. Ryon Burgendy on Yazz Flute!"

  • no no its not

  • Some Jethro Tull inspiration here!

  • Comment removed

  • You play jazz flute for us!
