  • @opelcorsa2012 that is because of GM, vauxhall came before Opel, but GM changed this and used vauxhall as a uk branch of opel, you can't hate vauxhall, hate GM ;-p

  • nice bike

  • i wish i have one but opel not vauxhall becuase of its a copy of the opel so i hate vauxhall

  • Sometimes I regret that I moved to North America... Sooooo much cool stuff in Europe ;-)

  • That is pretty darn AWESOME!!!!

  • Talk about making your bike look like it weighed a ton when lifting it!! 1.02 onwards haha

  • does anybody know if this could be retro-fitted , or does it have to be something fitted at the factory build stage?

  • Its a £435 option (which I think is pretty resonable) and only on certain Corsa, Antara and Meriva models, you lose the spare wheel and get a foam filling can instead. Apparently the whole rear suspension had to be redesigned to make it more compact to allow the rack to fit.

I personally think it's a great idea but at the time of writing this there were 40,000 Vauxhalls on autotrader.co.uk, not one of them had this fitted. Doesn't bode well for any other manufacturers advancing on the idea.

  • @rebel50s astra to .... I am building this bike carrier

  • Man thats some bike , what the heck is it???

  • That's a clever thing that is. My Skoda had an optional one, but it goes inside, neets the bike front wheel off & you lose 2 back seats as well as the boot space.

  • I would buy that if it was in Canada

  • あぁいいな〜。

    日本車にもつけてくれないな。

    マーチとかビッツとかフィットとかに、すんげー助かる。

  • !!!!! ATTENTION !!!!!

He forgot to set the two red locking bars after fitting the lights. These lock the support platform relative to the car.

  • nice bike:)

  • Makes me wonder if this rack will eventually damage the bike in someway (the rims and downtube/cranks)? I have always prefered the toptube support.

  • All the bits that contact the bike are pretty gentle on them. The wheel holders are fine. The crank holders aren't going to crush anything either. It's a pretty solid bit of kit. It all depends on how well it weathers after a few years.

  • Plenty of people use their bike at the weekend, etc. They're appealing to what the market wants. This is no stab in the dark

  • True!

But i can't see other car manufacturers eager to copy this!

Chances are they'll draw the line at cup holder and roof rails.Audi would never attemp anything like this and their pretty hot on practicality.I could do with a rack for my hovercraft though,i might contact Vauxhall.

  • I think other manufacturers will simply design a toptube based support that comes off tbh if and when they do.

  • genius vauxhall

  • i wouldnt be puttin 3 grand of mine on the back of that thing, just take wheels off & throw it in the back, less fuckin about-you tool!!!!!!!

  • what if there is five people in the car? think of the logic.

  • we need this in AMerica!!!!

  • hell ya!

  • they dont have it in america because americans drive everywhere and dont use bikes much.

  • @bmxridershiz

    You do not know much.

  • @Raymo853inLeDroit What the fuck do you know

  • nice

  • nice bike!!!

  • Was sceptical until now but seems like true design brilliance. Would have thought it is a rather expensive extra...better spent on a new bike.

Still prefer the girl on the ad.
