  • Killer tone on that thing! I wish you had a more efficiënt way of recording that:/

  • Do you have any experience with the Carvin BB (Bunny Brunel) 76? If so, how does it compare to your other Carvin 6-string basses?

    By the way, great playing.

    Thanks!

  • Just bought my own LB76. Very nice. Just curious, how do you get such a good sound when recording with that camera?

  • hey, is that a Carl Thompson hanging on your wall?!?

  • What type of fret board do you prefer? Maple, or ebony? I'm planning on getting a fretted one, but undecided on the pickup configuration. I have an old early 90's 2 band LB6 9 volt fretless with jazz style pick ups on it, that only seems to sound better with age. Just threw on some Ernie Ball slinky's, & now it really sings! I want to get a fretted to help with muscle memory.

  • I am going to buy a carvin 6 string bass and am deciding between the two that you have. I was wondering what your thoughts are on the Icon soap bars vs. the Lb76 pu's?

  • Thats some of the most incredible improv skills I have ever heard! Congrats and Bravo Brother! that was great!

  • Nice man!

  • sick groove man. how good is that carvin bass on a scale of 1 to 10?

  • and i thought Tom Morello wore his guitar high

    good stuff man

  • Man i love the way you play the bass!! Thx for upload your videos

  • Fantastic!!

  • this is some veryy jazzy funk!

  • hate that metallic sound, i have a 6 string bass but the strings are nylon infled !

  • uh huh - look right and you'll see another vid where he plays it.

  • That bass has a nice sound, I would love to have a Carvin or two. Is that bass heavy, what does the weight compare to? Not a big fan of the red color but the maple fretboard is something to crave.

  • brutally effortless...

  • ritter in the background?

  • tasty as hell man!

  • Damn you groove! Nice bass collection too, i want a Carvin Icon 6, and a Ritter for that matter, but the Carvin is prolly more in my price range..

    Subbed man, get stuff!

  • very nice man, you tuning a little different? might need to fiddle with the bridge intonation! :)

  • Nobby Man, have you tried the BB76 with the long upper cutaway? Your playing style does only not reminds me Marcus Miller but also other 6-stringers such as John Patitucci and Bunny Brunel!

  • little bit boring, no melody.......... and at solo part lot of wrong notes

  • Dude do you know the minor melodic and harmonic scale?

  • nice playing !! i have carvin too the carvin lb75 A but im curious, u have one extra nob than me? whats it for? cause we both have the same pickups, atleast thats what it looks like.

  • Maybe he has a piezo bridge and you dont?

  • naw i got a pezio bridge

  • Hm, idk then. what carvin do you have? How do you like it? I really really want an IC6

  • i have the carvin lb75 anniversary, i really like it, the only problem is a little buzzing around the 7th and 9th frets, i have a video of my carvin.

  • U're the real deal, keep it up.

  • superb

  • Stop it man, my neck hurts now from shaking my head to that groove. I have to work tomorrow ya know ?

  • Wow!!

This is one of the best 6 strings bass-sound I heard ever!!!

I love how the maple fretborad gives you that slap sound...

Do you used only a half of the bridge PU like a single?

Like a JJ config, isn´t it?

  • Indeed this bass is a killer ... PU´s are set like a Jazz Bass. The bass has not as much mids as a Fender has, but nevertheless it sounds great. However the electronics (2 x 9V) is what gives this bass it´s crispy sound. The PU´s in passive mode are not a big deal ...

  • Awesome Playing!! Can I ask what looping device you are using? I am trying to practice more efficiently and need to find an effective looper....Much Thanks and please keep posting your work...It's Great!!

  • I am using the Boss Loopstation. It´s the older "small" one with only two pedals and only 15 min recording time. However it is simple to use and perfect for improoving improvisation skills and small musical sketches !

  • Your bass sounds great man, is that an LB76 with piezos?

  • Where's the Ritter vid? If I could have one bass for the rest of my life, it'd be a Roya for sure.

Sexy, funky, although the drums beat you use kind of classes with the slap bass.

    Good job though.

  • hey do you speak spanish???

i want to learn thats techniques

  • Unfortunately I don´t speak spanish ... However learning this things is not complecated as these are very basic techniques.

  • are you using some kind of looper pedal?

  • Yes - it´s the Boss Loop Station

  • is that a ritter in the background?

  • Yes this is a Ritter - finest German craftmanship !

Sometimes I have the impression that Ritter Basses are more famous in the U.S. than they are here in Germany ... Anyway it is a killer !

  • I have allmost the same bass

its awesome i just love it

  • Funky groove!
