@CyanideV Shamisen players tune randomly. So a lot of tunes in a specific key turn out in random keys when transcribed for Shamisen . unless the player happens to have perfect pitch, but even then, Shamisen players tend to adjust to a key that is comfortable for the string tension and fingering. for example something in the key of F# major would be too tight on the strings so would probably end up played in C or D major.

I know what you mean, musicalmichaeltran. I never liked the shamisen when I was younger. As I got older I began to get a feel for the music and was exposed to (corrupted by?) the new California Shamisen music. Now I'm thinking about digging up a lot of money and learning to play.
