Shibas are very intelligent and independent. You need to be confident, persistent and positive when training a shiba. You also need a sense of humor and a willingness to be humbled by your dog!
Hey hottcarll! No mistakes are allowed in these runs. This is considered an Excellent level course and to qualify, you have to get everything right! Sumo goes a little wide in a couple places but while that hurts his time,it doesn't otherwise count against him. And yes, these trials are really noisy. There are lots of barking dogs and distractions which is why dogs who do well are so impressive.
He is really good did you guys make any mistakes in any of the runs you posted? The dog barking is so loud he is really focused on doing the course with you I am impressed just with that alone.
